It's funny how a simple misunderstanding can change friendships into enmity. And it has happened with the best of the best – even Aamir Khan had a misunderstanding with Juhi while shooting for Ishq, following which they were not on talking terms for years to come.
The latest to fall prey to this unfortunate quirk of Tinsel Town are Aftab Shivdasani and Balaji Films' favourite actress Natassha, whose film Koi Aapsa is all set to release. And that too just after we had commented on how the two were getting along like a house on fire. The two had hit it off immediately when they began shooting for the project, say insiders. In fact, their camaraderie was so obvious that the other actress in the film, rumours claimed, wasn't happy with the way Natassha and Aftab were allegedly being given prominence in the film and had even spoken out about it.
Every thing was hunky dory for Affy and Natassha, until the bombshell. Rumour has it that the two had a serious altercation and are no longer on talking terms. To the effect that Aftab is going on the next leg of the tour without his leading lady, who is quite miffed with him.
The story goes that both Aftab and Natassha were busy with their individual shoots, and were supposed to go on their film's promotional tour. However, while Natassha was all set to take off even though she was busy shooting for Kkavyanjali, Aftab supposedly arrived late, and the duo is said to have had a massive showdown. Obviously, Natassha had no idea that Aftab was delayed because of shooting, and the misunderstanding was the cause of the unfortunate rift, say sources.
When we spoke to Natassha all she said was, "Where did you get this information? I don't know where such rumours start off. Aftab and I got along very well on the sets. The reason I am not going on the promotional tour is because I have to shoot for Kkavyanjali, and not because of any tiff with Aftab."
While the actress denied the incident point blank, we are still to get Aftab's version since he was unavailable at the time of going to press. Whatever the case, let's hope a little confusion does not affect what looked like a sweet friendship in the making!
