Very lovely update.

I am thinking, Randhir is feeling guilty because he thinks that the miscarriage of Sanyu was due to him.

That is why he thinks that She is better off without him.

Just my assumptions.

And pl pl continue Daddy's Hands and Seven Days to woo SA.

Chapter 19

As soon as I knew for sure that Ragini had left the office, I walked towards Randhir's cabin silently. My heart was beating at an unhealthy pace, my hands were sweating, my breathing uneven. I had already mentally prepared myself for the insults that Randhir might throw at me if I entered.

I knocked.

"Ragini you're still here?" Randhir called from inside. "Come in."

I opened the door and stepped inside. Randhir's hair was disheveled and he was reading some papers - his expression focused. Upon looking up and seeing me, he looked surprised.

"You?" he asked.

I bit down on my lip to prevent myself from crying - why was it that he had to address me like I was a stranger?

"I wanted to talk to you," I mumbled.

He closed his folder and looked up at me expectantly as if he was expecting me to make it quick. I closed the door behind me and walked up to his desk. I was going to sit on the chair across from him, but instead I sat up on the desk.

Randhir looked up at me with shock.

"This is an -" he started.

"Office, I know," I interrupted, "But... what I'm about to talk to you about is not office related."

"Then we can talk later. Go home," he decided.

"No," I refused. "I'm not going home until I discuss what I wanted to with you."

"If it's about the divorce papers, then I'll get them to you by the end of this week," Randhir said coldly.

My eyes filled up with tears when he said that - why couldn't he see that his words hurt me a lot? It wasn't something I could control. No matter how much I told myself to be strong, it was hard to actually follow through with it.

I was being pricked by thorns, and it was leaving scars, while I was trying so hard to hold on to a rose.

"It's not about the divorce," I told him softly. "Well... kind of... Randhir... I wanted to know what's happening with you? You have someone else in your life right? I want to know what your plans are."

He looked up at me with shock - as if he wasn't expecting this.

"Plans?" he asked me, in a tone that made it sound like I was interfering. "Sanyukta mind your own business."

He wasn't going to open up so easily. Alright... I had to try another tactic.

"Randhir... the reason I'm telling you all this is... it's because... because I'm pregnant," I stammered, terrified of what his reaction would be.
