udta punjab has amazing roles for Alia and Kareena - shahid

Shahid Kapoor, who wowed everyone with Haider last year, is now looking forward to some interesting projects this year Shandaar and Udta Punjab. The actor is also in talks with his mentor Vishal Bhardwaj for another collaboration, Rangoon. Confirming the same, he said, "Yes, Vishal and I are talking about Rangoon and it's something that seems to be on the cards soon."

There's a lot of curiosity around Udta Punjab. "I'm happy with the cast. For about six months no one wanted to do the film. Abhishek (Chaubey) used to keep meeting me and saying, "Hum dono hi planning kar rahe hai, picture koi shauru kar nahi raha hai." Then suddenly the cast fell in place and it has amazing roles for Alia and Kareena," says Shahid.

On working with Kareena again, the actor said, "This film is very different. So people should not keep previous references (like Jab We Met) in mind. This one is nothing like that.
