Tollywood actor Mahesh Babu's upcoming film 'One' is now at the centre of a controversy after YouTube removed the teaser of the film from its official channel, alleging that it had "violated certain terms and conditions".

DC has learnt that YouTube has reported a "misuse" by "miscreants" who resorted to devious means to increase the hits on the trailer. The makers, however, have been stunned by YouTube's decision to remove the video.

A source close to production house said, "We were shocked with YouTube's inappropriate action against our teaser. We immediately contacted officials from YouTube and after an inquiry, they have decided to give a clean chit to us. YouTube also said that some miscreants from Kenya were behind the illegal numbers boost. But we have no idea of that."

The illegal boosting of YouTube hits is actually a mutli-million dollar industry. A recent report revealed the existence of "click farms" operating from massive third-world sweatshops, where a 1,000 clicks are on sale for just over a dollar.

Representatives of 'One' have denied being part the illegal activity. The source added, "Because there is a huge interest for the number of YouTube clicks, unauthorised third-parties are now faking YouTube views, causing damage to rightful owners of the content.

"Anybody can now get videos deleted from YouTube... which is very sad."

YouTube has now asked the makers of 'One' to re-upload the video. A news which has not gone down well with the Tollywood guys.

"We have already crossed over 22,30,000 views and it's not fair to start from zero again."

Producer Ram Achanta said. "We're trying to get our numbers restored. We have also filed a complaint with the CCS (Cyber Crime Station) police in Hyderabad."
