Tabu to play Katrina Kaif's elder sister in Fitoor'?

The makers have altered Miss Havisham's character after Rekha decided to stage a walkout..

Not many know that it's the scintillating Tabu who's replaced Rekha in the Abhishek Kapoor directorial Fitoor. Known for her high handed attitude, Rekha was heard to throw fits during shoot, stalling shoots for hours. Now that Gattu has found a perfect replacement to Rekha, the makers have also decided to alter the character that she plays in the film.

Tabu will step in the shoes of Rekha to play Miss Havisham in Fitoor. But there's a huge difference now. Explains a source, "Tabu is way younger to Rekha. She has already done a similar Kashmiri woman role in Haider. So initially, it was difficult to convince her. But UTV finally decided to change the character of Miss Havisham and Tabu readily gave her nod."

What was the change? "Tabu's Miss Havisham will be a slightly younger character. Instead of the intial role, Tabu will now be Miss Havisham- Katrina Kaif's older sister in the film." The filmmaker has begun shooting with Tabu and wants to finish the shoot as soon as possible because they don't want any further delays and plan to release it on Valentine's Day week next year.

I wonder what made Rekha to pull off from this movie. she has been a reputed professional. dunno what went wrong :/

I hope this is not true. It will destroy the movie.

Abhsheikh doesnt look seem like a director who would change the story. Tabu also said that she will build begum in her own way.

This will be A-rated.. flop it seems now. As much as ARK is popular here on IF.. in real world ppl dont even know his name.

A rated?? How?? There is nothing in the story that asks for more than a PG 13 rating.

And it wont flop.

ARK- Kat's hot scenes and when they came out of it.. the pic itself says.. they had more than whats needed. 😆

Katrina can call Rekha's character Baji. No sister relation though. That should be it and will work perfectly.

They better not mess up the rest of the plot. I really want to see Great Expectations come to life.

If she is playing her sister then stop calling this an adaptation of GE as this change is going to destroy the story in the book. Convict, Estella and Miss Havisham will lose very important traits to their characters.
