I agree with ZHCool. This show is not about voting for the best singer. Its about voting for your favourite singer (even if he/she is a musical disaster)

Sympathy is often used as a trump card for many contestants. Hence, outrageous comments are given by judges to save contestants whom they think are worthy.

Case 1: Anu said Emon was overconfident. It brought back Emon in the limelight (when he was fading away from public notice) and made the public furious for "unjust comments"

Case 2: Javed says Emon is not fit to be a playback singer and makes silly excuses about his voice not fitting with an orchestra (Come on! there are even thinner voices out there!). Public is outraged from what you can see on this forum alone.

This is meant to create sympathy for Emon so that he does not get eliminated. Has been done before in other shows too.

If Javed Akhtar's outburst against Emon was real .... he lost his respect. If it was all planned and scripted .... he lost his reputation EVEN MORE . How can an old respected person (Now I do not accept him as a judge), behave like this, even if it is scripted? How can he accept this kind of script in which he has to act like a fool. No matter how much money he got, he has no right to break the heart of a 18 year old kid, when his mother was sitting and quietly crying.

Jave Akhtar should be ashamed of his behaviour.

With due respect to your sentiments, I don't think this particular incident is going to affect his reputation that much. The public thrives on such controversy and judges who create it come back again and again.

I can bet JA will apologize the Emon the next episode (a la Simon Cowell from AI) and everyone will forget about it by the next season.

The channel and the judges do not care for these contestants. The contestants are in effect nothing except cash cows that are fully exploited till the public runs out of money to vote.

I apologise if this sounds too harsh, but its the reality of Reality TV.

I agree with the first post. I just wish Javed can read that. Sorry! I used to call him Javedji but he lost my respect. He used to pass bias comments on Fame Gurukul too.

Let this topic continue for some reason. I have already added here. Pl read my post on Ishpit and Abhash. What wrong did i write that some Suhana is attacking me and telling i am attacking her. Why is she taking it personally if i have brought out some facts.

I actually used to respect javedji a lot but after whatever he said to Emon the day Ankita got eliminated was soo childish that i felt like a man like him so has immense stature can say something so childish...he was totally demoralising Emon and the most stupidest thing he said was that Emon has nothing...no good singing neither performance and Ankita atleast has one...Gosh he was soo wrong bc Emon is a quadruple times better then Ankita...Thank God she got eliminated
