Some women in the forum are supporting Javedji and liking him for he mentioned he wants a woman to be on top. WHY DO WE NEED PITY TO WIN. DO WE NEED ???

CAN'T A WOMAN COME ON TOP BY MERIT ?? Definitely if some Female in the next II is better than the boys we will definitely vote for her and not just because we want a woman. This platform is neither for Perforer ( then better performers are there who could have joined )nor for advocating woman .PL BEAR IN MIND IT IS FOR SINGING TALENT AND AS EMON RIGHTLY SAID 100% SINGING AND HE SAID 50% PERFORMANCE BUT IT SHOULD BE EVEN 30% IS ALSO OK WHICH IS NOT DIFFICULT TO PICK UP FOR AMIT OR EMON

And some women are feeling very high about javedji's comment. WHY DO WE NEED PITY ??

This whole " a girl should be an Idol this season" irks me a lot....

Why are they harping on it? Why not just say that the best singer should win? And this season the best singer wasnt a girl...period!

I agree with you completely! i'm soooooooo tired of this whole "support the girls whether they are good or not" thing. it would be wonderful for a girl to win indian idol but only if she is the best SINGER not just because she's a GIRL. i don't like pity votes. i think it's definitely ok to encourage people to support good female singers as much as they support good male singers, but it's not ok to push it sooooooo far that you are blindly supporting a female singer just because she's a girl. and i think it's unfair to the male contestants who may be better singers. it's not right to say that they should go instead of a girl, just because they want girls to remain in the competition. i think it's time for people to stop paying so much attention to the gender of the singer and just pay attention to their singing. that'll be in everyone's best interest.

no i think she's saying that if you want to support a contestant it should be because you genuinely like their singing. we shouldn't support a contestant only because she is a girl and so far we haven't had a girl idol. it's more important to pick the best singer, regardless of whether he or she is a girl or boy.

Supporting for the WRONG REASON just bec a woman and not bec of merit. If anyone has merit Janta will surely do justice. Amit also was out and again came in and getting votes from the same janata bec he has improved.

I don't think we women need pity to win. If someone is genuinely talented, they will get their due. For example, Shreya was talented and deserved to win the competition Look where she is today. Sunidhi too was talented and won. Women don't need sympathy, if they have talent, they will go far.

How sweet.... Yes right. Then he should have supported earlier eliminated girls like DEEPLI AND POOJA AND OTHERS MUCH BETTER SINGER THAN ANKITA . EMON WAS IN BOTTOM WITH THEM AS WELL.

WHY SHOULD A WOMAN BE PITTIED AND HELPED TO WIN JUST BEC SHE IS A WOMAN.I WOULD DEFINITELY LIKE TO SEE POOJA OR DEEPLI WIN BUT THEY SHOULD IMPROVE SOME MORE TO EQUATE WITH EMON OR AMIT. THATS ALL.

THANK YOU

The truth of the fact is that a girl will never become an Indian Idol because the majority of the voters are young girls who are led by their hormones. And it is a well known fact that girls are jealous by nature and don't like to see other girls doing well. So if a judge asks people to get past their jealousy for a while how is it pity?
