I wanted tp put up a topic titled "Versatility or authority"...Somewhat akin to this thread ,come to think of it 🤔

Elucidating more,Mussarat is an authority on the Sufi genre,he renders every song stupendously..But his expertise does not extend beyond the particular genre...The other songs are mediocre, with his going off-key at various points too..Even Mauli is in the same mould, she sings a "Maiya Maiya" and a "Namak" so spellbindingly, but falls flat whenever she sings any other kind of song...

Juxtaposed to the aforementioned category of singers, singers like Amanat,Aneek and Raja sing EVERY kind of song equally well...They are well-rounded complete singers...If one had to make a choice between versatility and authority, what would one choose??
