That promise did worry me too.

When Sanam discovers Shaad had been lying to her and keeping her while her real husband has been searching for her across the border like mad, would she be conflicted?

I dunno.

Jannat thought she was Shaad's wife, because that's what he said. She didn't ask for proof. Jannat has been doing all these things to smoothe things with Shaad's family , because she has her sense of responsibility towards her husband.

She doesn't fangirl over him or ogle over him while he dressed or smiled or did something for her. It's been about responsibility.

When it was Aahil, it was different. She loved him, went to hell and back for him, endured awful things for him, yet forgave him of his ignorance. She worried for him even as her life was in danger.

But she clings to Shaad for support. She's terrified and traumatized and Shaad is the saviour. But if she finds out he isn't her husband and Aahil is.. her sense of responsibility will be gone

Propriety will dictate that she no longer stay with the man she is not married to. Plus the vibes she'll get from Aahil and the disconnect she feels with Shaad will make sense

I think this will go few ways..:

1. Sanam regains her memories and completely forgets Shaad.

2. Sanam forgives Shaad of his deception, and he finds his mother alive in Bhopal. With a younger brother. So he isn't alone anymore.

3. Sanam/Jannat finds out the truth, and vows to take care of him as a friend and nothing more.

Oh God... a horror scenario just came into my mind

What if Shaad has a " re nikaah" so that Jannat will have new memories of her wedding?! 😲

Oh Gawd.. no.

All those Qubool Hai monologues worry me that something huge is a out to happen.

Wow. A very thoughtful post I must say. I have to re -read it to reply. Also the discussion here, very interesting.

Looks like the forum is back to the ACTUAL DISCUSSION mode 😛

Anyway. A promise VS Her Love. Quite a conflicting situation it is. But can I just say I loved that bold lines your wrote at the end? ❤️

"Jab milne ko bitaab ho do dil,

ek khaab ho,

unhi muqaddar kya roke ga,

ab mohabbat ki jeet ka jashan sara zamana deke ga"

Amazing! Quite intense!

Okay. So I really hope this promise and holding her back continues only till she gets her memory back, after that it would be just lame. And it would really be unfair too.

Coz BEFORE, we can understand, okay she has a responsibility towards his family so she is staying back, and in between she is getting attracted to him, doesn't know what is right and what is wrong. He heart and mind are in a mess, which to believe. A fight between the attraction she is feeling to someone who is according to her the "other man". Those scenes would be worth watching actually. I always wanted to see HER falling for HIM and that I guess we can see in this way, IF they are going this way. It would also mark that Junoon in their story.

We might also see a "phase" in Aahil where he would start thinking she is happy with Shaad, and kinda starts moving away from him. Now on THAT, Sanam's helplessness and conflicts whether to go with her heart or not..worth a watch again!

First it was story of Aahil falling for her, his conflicts and how he overcame, now its Sanam's turn to fall for him, with same conflicts between her heart and mind. If THIS is what they are gonna show, I am all for it.

And after she gets her memory back, I really want her to question that Shaad for what he has done and his motives whatever.

But ultimately, it would all lead up to a great reunion in the end. I know they are not gonna reunite SO SOON! And actually I don't even want now. I just want them to have that passion in them where they would feel and get attracted to each other and those conflicts, it would be heartbreaking to watch, but thats A LOT BETTER than anything else crap.

Hmm Ahil is all alone too.

His family disappears regularly and he has a witch snipping @his feet. How can Sanam dump him & choose to stay in sin with a stranger? I think her commitments to Ahil thr' her Nikah takes precedence over whatever promise she made when she was not herself.

I hope she forgets everything that happened after the accident,once she regains her memory.

SaHil can probably adopt Shadd and keep him in IM.

Or Shad can join his family after fulfilling his mission to capture SK.

No sympathy for sad Shad and I hope Sanam doesn't get swayed.

Hmm...

A promise to Allah to be with the man she married or a promise to dying man who is the father of a man who is making her live in sin without her knowledge.

Its a simple choice.

And I want the CVs to show it thus...

No matter how you look at this, it is hard not to utterly revolted by this situation and by what this man who supposedly respects women is doing.

This is no different than women being brainwashed or displaced children kept by people who feel they have a right to them and feel they love them. Here difference with brainwashing is that he got a blank slate, instead of doing the brainwashing himself. And difference from a child is that she is a grown woman--although her mental state of amnesia makes her situation similar to that of a displaced child.

And this man so easily calls her his wife, behaves with no shame or guilt in living this lie. He has bought into his own lies and imaginary world.

He is very much delusional when it comes to "Jannat." He says Jannat's family is in India, so is his plan to go find them? And when he finds them what exactly is he going to say to them and this woman? He is going on as if he's really her husband taking some lost woman or orphan woman or woman removed her family to help her trace her roots or find her family. He has forgotten the little conclusion he had come to earlier that she had someone. He gives no thought to anything.

And he continues to take physical liberties with her. Any man who takes liberties from a woman who is not of sound mind, both he and his actions would be characterized as sleazy. Her amnesiac state and living in a lie and deception is similar to either brainwashing or drugging or both. Nothing which is happening is of her own will and volition. Because she has no knowledge of herself and is in a very weakened mental state, and is being lied to and deceived.

In any situation taking such advantage of such a disabled person or person in a much lesser position and condition than you is considered immoral and sick.

To put it more simply, we should all take candies from babies! And see how our actions are perceived and what happens to us by those observing.

This man has not been shown having any qualms in what he's doing. He is going on about all of this as if it's perfectly normal, no thought on what he is doing may even be considered wrong by society or others. He is clearly has some mental imbalance to believe his lies and live in his delusional world that Jannat is his wife. That is the most positive explanation to his behavior. The other is that he is not much different than all those news stories you hear about--where women are kept captive or brainwashed and broken down, with them exhibiting Stockholm Syndrome.

He deserves to be slapped by Janant and given a good beating by Aahil.

^^ KK.. a couple of others too along with us maintain that Sanam in her current state is like a knocked out/drunk /out of senses woman. And no one but a depraved person will take advantage of such a woman.

I wonder if CVs just like Shaad feel that Shad's family were martyrs or victims of ill-performing army officer whom they trusted too much ... Or is it just a way of CVs pointing that Shaad is indeed un-hinged person or someone who lives in a make -believe world.

Will Shaad's actions be as foolishly dealt with as Rehan's act of not warning Aahil Bhai of Ammi's manipulations, or Seher's impersonation as Sanam or Sanam's hiding of truth from Aahil for a long time...

I wait to see it.

IMO- the above were all great opportunities for complete tracks in itself and the CVs wasted them,...

and yes, the situation is revolting because some people actually feel he is not touching'too much'...

Any man/woman would find that amount of touching inappropriate between strangers ...in ALL cultures.

Minnie, with Rehan he was constantly shown as hating his mother's lies and manipulations, and berated her often. He never did much about it, because he was in a difficult position.

Here, Shaad himself is the one committing these actions. He is not reacting to someone else, but himself doing these things and taking these decisions. And he shows no guilt, remorse or acknowledgment of his actions. Early on be had one or two lines here and there but he hardly behaved accordingly. And he kept on acting the way he wanted and stopped bothering with those meaningless lines.

KK ..off course I meant other people's reaction to Rehan's 'not coming clean' IMO, it was a great drama opportunity of the interpersonal issue kind... where his loved ones show anger, love, disgust all at the same time... and he feels the same for them.. and all that jazz..not sure if I could make sense.

Shaad.. yes he is doing it all. But the man who glorifies the piteous death of his family as their 'shahadat' when it was clearly his incapability to avert it, I do not think he will ever come clean...he keeps his conscience clear😆 in the weirdest way possible. I do no wrong. 😉
