All the judges, Sony and audience have been until now participating in Indian Idol. However, our great intelligent judge Javedji begs to differ. He is on a search for a "Mother India" Idol, one who represents today's woman. No comments with regard to and no offence to Ankita's vocal talents- That issue has been debated umpteen times in this forum - but "aaj ki free Bharatiya Naari" sings baiiyyyaaa , dekhle-- and whispers for Piyaa after an escape from a cage!!! Is that his idea of today's ideal Indian women??? and is that his function as a judge???😕

This is such a refreshing post. I would request the author of this post to please make one such post everyday and not periodically. I would really appreciate it as I will be needing the humour tomorrow after seeing my favourite contestant out.

OBVIOUSLY, he's not saying that the modern Indian woman sings these types of songs...he's a little more poetic than that

he was referring to how she sang freely and for herself. I think he was talking about how she broke from the norm and sang according to her own style and was encouraging other women to do the same with all their actions - don't take what people say to heart and do something with passion for yourself

come on payal!! it's not the song she was singing that represents the voice of women it's the fact that she has persevered according to her own terms.

Prashanto :Father India
Ankita: Mother India
Hopefully someone will whisper into the intelligent judge's ear that he is not here to look for fathers and mothers....

ok obviously this is a dig at me...you haven't really understood what I was trying to say but that's ok, I'll say it once again and another thing...I DID NOT SAY VOTE FOR THEM BECAUSE OF THIS! 😡

notice how JA didn't comment on her singing? this is because his comment about women was not in relation to her singing explicitly...he was applauding her for being there on her own terms and for being a female among 3 other males...

if ankita-haters took time to actually digest JA, they would be able to see past the surface of JA's comment
