What is wrong with the writers of this show?

Hello all- First of all, I completely stopped watching JR ages ago (well like 3 months ago or so). I just could not take the dragging and nonsense anymore. I must say I loved JR until early January or so when they ruined the whole show. I just read the written updates every now and then (thankfully, not more). Disappointment would be an understatement as to how I feel about the way writers have treated this show.

The entire show has been going just downhill and downhill and downhill. The leads are just portrayed like puppets in the hands of the antagonists of this show. It is okay to do it once or twice but it is going endless.

It is one thing to show that the leads have to fight for their love. But, it is another thing to keep showing that endlessly because the writers could not think of anything better or creative.

I fail to understand how the owner of a 850-900 crores business (as mentioned by Sid in the courtroom scene) be manipulated AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN by an irrational and unreasonable Simran. I don't care she is his mother. It is the most stupid progression.

As a viewer, I waited and waited and waited for RV's truth to come out in front of Kritika and Simran (Yes, read this again). His true FACE needed to be exposed in front of these two EVIL ladies. BUT, NO. It NEVER happened.

No, I am not the kind of viewer who gets happy by seeing a nice scene between the leads after every 50 episodes. That is not my kind of fun. I refuse to be fed the nonsense the writers of JR are dishing out to us.

The show was conceptualized well but the writers could not do any justice to the story.

Sorry to disagree with u... But I think writers of the show has done pretty good job during the past few months. Currently, I'm disappointed with the divorce drama but that may not last long. To run the show, there used to be drama but I never felt the leads were puppets. Whatever has happened they have shown very good reasons always...

The writers have managed not to loose plot even when the most stupid track was going on. And even when the viewer's are disappointed for a few episodes, things become enjoyable after that. So, I think the regular viewers of the show still enjoy it and I give credit for it to the writers and actors..

I'm sure this divorce will make Sid and Roshni's bonding more strong. Hoping Roshni will keep her word that she will be with Sid does not matter any wrong happens( yesterday garden scene).
I have a faith on writers but we have to tell writer story line should be only Sid and Roshni related.

I would say that yeah due to the leap the show took a serious turn but it has made SidNi's love more intense, they have become more mature in their relationship, they have realized their mistakes.. they married to soon knowing each other only for some days.. and all these things which took place due to their separation has made them understand each other more.

Another thing, DD's character has changed A LOT since the beginning of the show. though they butchered Simran's character totally but we cant expect everything to go our way.
Sometimes the episodes are boring.. but the general plot was never a bore.

I feel they are dragging this separation track because this track is of the utmost importance as the sid identity revelation track which also dragged for 6 months!

WUs are ok. But when you watch the show and see them enact it , it has another impact on you. Especially a show like JR where the actors of each character are outstanding in their performances.

I'm a fairly new viewer of JR. I saw a recent episode which I really liked. After watching some epis online I got so addicted that I finished the whole series in 3-4 days. 😛
JR had started on a very light note. It was a brilliant show and concept.
The first few months were mainly all fun and frollick. But honestly that had to fall apart as the happiness was built on a lie. It was evident that Sid's identity revelation would lead to heartbreak and tears. The circumstances were more dramatised by the RV-Kri-Simran angle. But I'll say that it gave way to a beautiful story. The entire separation track has brought a lot to SidNi's relationship.
This track has seen a lot of tears and evil I agree but I don't think that even for once have the writers actually lost the plot. They have maintained SidNi's journey extremely well. All the hurdles they are shown facing will only make them stronger and truly emerge as one.
The first SidNi confession and marraige were shown in a bit of a hurry. They had jumped into the relation very fast without really knowing each other. Yes they had a beautiful relation as husband wife but it was based on a lie. And relations based on lies are meant to be torn down. Roshni literally had no idea who her husband was and all the sacrifices he had made. This entire seperation and divorce track has not only made their love stronger and more intense but also has provided an opportunity for Roshni to truly understand and appreciate Sid and what all he has done for her.
RV was an irritating element but whatever he did was ultimately good for SidNi. Though I agree with the fact that his exit was a little anti-climatic. His true face should have been revealed in front of everyone. But well they needed to show that in order to make Kri all out evil.
DD's journey from a money-obssessed lady to a loving mother has been done beautifully too. Simran is a piece of work though. Her char is shown to be too weak and easily influenced. Somehow that is not going to change until something drastic happens.
As for leads being puppets, I don't think that ever happened. They were victims of situations which happens to everyone. You can't always be in control of everything that happens to you. The truth revelation had shattered their lives. It will take time to completely sort everything out.
I have faith in the writers. I'm sure they will not let SidNi go in the background.
Watching the episode is far more effective than reading the WU. Watching the actors bring the story to life has a different charm and JR's cast is brilliant. Plus it's a daily show. Some episodes have to be a little boring. JR has completed almost 200 episodes, you can't expect every episode to be power-packed. It's not possible.

I compeletely agree with you. I have seen many shows and for someone who has studied media and films and all, I honestly can say JR is by far the best show ever. The way each situation is exemplified and always goes back to the main theme, Jamai Raja. Sid has always thought about others over himself and that has been shown from day one. Sid is still the same person but is stuck in unavoidable situations. DD's property is in the hands of Simran and Simran wants Sid to be rid of Roshni. Yes, Sid could have given money to DD, but like Roshni said in the episode DD won't take Sid's help. Sid has tried to help her so many times before, but DD refused his financial help. Now seeing his sasu mom who he genuinely always considered a mom from day 1 in a state of fear for her family's safety. Sid had no choice but go back to his so called mom and agree to the deal that she gave him. Now it is confirmed that Simran blackmailed and forced Sid to divorce Roshni. He had to choose between Roshni, his love, or his sasu mom's integreity. He knows as well that if he is able to give back DD what is rightfully hers then his Roshni and her family will be happy and safe. Sid is not happy about what he is doing nor is he proud of himself. He hates himself. What he is going through is so real. Now or then we all are stuck in certain positions where we have to make drastic decisions and in the process probably do things we never dreamed of doing. Howver, I do feel that the divorce will be nullified once everyone finds out that Sid was forced and blackmailed. That he never wanted to separate himself from Roshni.

I am very much happy with every episode which is why I constanly watch the series from episode 1 upto the recent and then re start. It also helps to understand the story and why the story is where it is.

i think the present track is somewhat very gloomy and depressing
but the show more or less has kept its initial charm intact
the tracks normally do not drag for a long time
i had started watching the show after sidni marriage
right now sid is actually helpless all thanks to simran
but i am sure soon roshni will know why sid was forced to do this

For me, it was the exact opposite. I loved the first 15-20 episodes (up to Roshni's confession was so hilarious and magical). Then, after SidNi's marriage I started to get a little bored and mad when DD forced them to stay in her house. I mean, I get that the theme of the show is of Sid, the Jamai Raja's greatness.

But, I found it very annoying how he did not stick up for himself. I mean, just because you are a good Jamai that does NOT mean you have to be a ghar jamai. Yes, he wanted to fix DD's and Roshni's relationship, but it pissed me of to see it came at the cost of: a) his relationship with Roshni (Sid was in his sasuraal on Suhaag raat alone for God's sake!) b) his humiliation/losing self-respect.

When Sid had so many good opportunities to reveal his identity and he did not, that I felt kind of stretched the show.

Opportunity #1: When Roshni found Sid after the bomb blast, she was so glad to find Sid alive she would have forgiven him for literally anything. That would have been a good time to confess.

Opportunity #2: Throughout the show, they have shown Roshni's short temperedness especially at Sid, but she was so polite/respectful to Sid's parents. Sid's relationship with Roshni would probably be intact if he had asked his father to reveal it to Roshni. Sure, I get that asking someone else to confess for ur mistake is a wuss move, but at least better than continuing to hide it.
But, from the time of Sid's revelation, the show became so much more fast-paced, unpredictable and literally AMAZING!!! I mean, I am a sucker for how Sid dresses post leap (now that he is not trying to hide that he is rich). I kind of went back and watched all the good SidNi scenes I had missed after SidNi's 3rd separation.

Sorry for long reply.
