He left Ragini. He put the wishes of a friend ahead of his relationship with his wife.
The adopted baby, born to his friend, was more important than staying and raising his own kids.
He seemed not to find any way of convincing Ragini of the truth and winning her trust.
He chose to leave. Such a stupid MU! (The writers continue to insult the viewers' intelligence)

And yet, 15 years later, he behaves like there was no divorce. How can Ragini be possibly married to another man? How could she? His Ragini! "You know I am so possessive about you. You know I can't bear to see you with another man" Oh please give us a break! No one believes you Neil.

Ragini could have married and divorced several times in those 15 years! Or had untold
one-night-stands, or dated every man in the hospital where she works, or got piercings everywhere, or listened to really loud rap music every night and pissed off the Society, or sold her house and moved to Mexico...

She could have even moved to the moon, you wouldn't have known or cared. You never called her in 15 years!

Oh yes, you didn't waste any time being alone while living in NYC. You had many relationships, - you were certainly not celibate!

So why this sudden care and ownership of an ex-wife?
If Neil always cared, then why did he stay away?

The 15-year gap makes it very difficult to buy this story.
The writers messed up.

he indeed is ...his words come across as shallow when you see his lack of action about anything ..and what exactly is he doing now getting back at ragini by marrying another...

he can get hurt by her fake drama but he does not remember a single word he uttered to her the moment he landed on her doorstep forcing her to scream she was married

he can be possessive about her and cannot see her with another but ragini needs to be understanding and trusting when he gets his ex with whom he had a 2 year long affair checked into a hotel and met her secretly and blatantly lies on ragini's face

and now he comes out as a victim while the entire blame will fall on ragini ...and what is his solution to all this..get engaged to another...

I used to watch rishta.com. There was a episode where a divorcee mother comes to get married (after 2yrs of divorce) n finds a nice guy...but her ex husband (who left her alone, without any source of income)comes back, says sorry and tells her to come back.He even beats up the new guy she found.

There this ex is made to realise what a hypocrit he is...he didn't even call in those two years and now has come back to declare his love. He was told on his face that he neither cared for his ex wife nor the kid, he was back because he was jealous and could not see his ex happily moving on. The woman's endless waiting for him would satisfy his male ego and if he ever loved her he should let her move on and find happiness.

Isn't the case here similar. Neil didn't even call in 15years, refused to go to his daughter's wedding but flies back the moment he hears that Ragini has moved on. And then he keeps taunting both.
Why?? He knew that aman is a nice guy.
He said hum ek doosre se alag ho sakte gain lekin kisi aur ke nahin ho sakte.dude when you were so sure why did you leave your wife (without a proper degree) to take care of two small kids, a mother and a grandmother and fly to another country where she couldn't even contact you in any emergency😡.
If he was so sure that she wouldn't take anybody's support then why didn't he give her some money from the millions he made, at least for the kids.

Why should Ragini be reprimanded for moving on-tumne mera vishwas today, ummeed todi, gurur toda...as if usne khud ne kuch nahi toda. Why is she supposed to think of Neil's possessiveness after separation when Neil reprimanded her for her possessiveness even when the were married.

The actors were brilliant in the scene but the thought that a woman is supposed to love and wait for a man who left her stranded and not move on with a man who loves her and stands by her in all situations is making me cringe🤢

He is indeed contradictory but that doesn't nullify his love to Ragini.

I think he genuinely thought that Ragini had moved on and he wanted closure. The fact that it was all a fake drama has just made him go off the edge which is no justification to what he has been doing in terms of deriding Ragini the day he first met her.

Yes, he hid his facts and dug his own grave. Well if you made a choice then live with it. Now don't come crying and blame Ragini that she misunderstood.

I won't entirely give Ragini the free-ticket because her basis for suspecting that Suhani is his child is plain stupid. If you can't seem to trust a man with whom you have 4 kids in 4 years, then what more can you expect? If she was obsessive natured then she needed to get it off her head that he wouldn't cheat on her after he still pursued despite her repeated NOs.

that is the scary part..by 21 or 22 she was already with 4 kids a full time home maker..way too young to be a mother let alone 4 kids...and i can understand her insecurity coz that was not some random woman or ragini exactly did not spend her time spying on her husband...it was an ex the one with whom he spend 2 years in a relationship intimate one...nachiket negated nothing for her ..just elevating her fear and insecurity and when he walked out with suhani without even a glance it was heartbreaking...yes she was stupid and silly but she was way too young and then he punches her further by telling her she is not a doctor hence cannot understand it..forgetting why and how she sacrificed her whole studies ,career...he never looked back not even glanced ,he never fought bacl..if not for her atleast for the kids...what on earth did they do to suffer???suhani needed a family but how does that justify ripping apart your own family...

and then 15 years later he comes back blaming her completely with absolutely not even a word about his own hand in all this...that is what is annoying ...his friends keep on blabbering that only he can handle ragini...is this how he handled ragini??...

ragini certainly is at fault but she is not the only one which is right now being made of in the show...and how does he react to all this..get engaged to another woman only to back out on that day...if nivedita was really a nice girl with no hidden motive...did she really deserve this...even now does she really deserve this...the punching bag in between neil and ragini...what maturity is he showing..and for 15 years pam was suhani's mom so why on earth will she need a new mom now??😕😆 his excuse for marrying nivedita

Lol Sun, I totally agree with his current decision making being absolutely rotten. I mean who does that? Utter fool.

He is still thinking of Ragini as the woman who misjudged him completely 15 years ago and also thinks that their love 15 years hasn't changed with the bitter separation. That is what's causing all this one-sided blame crap.

Ragini also needs to reboot herself and get over the fact that only he is responsible for creating doubt in her mind. If you can't trust then don't tell us that you love him today too. What's the point?

I so wish somebody plays quiz quiz with him now, preferably Dr. Aman since he doesn't think its important to give explanations to Ragini.
Aman should ask Neil:
1. Does he know how much loan is on Ragini's head?
2. Does he know how she tried to fulfill the duties of both mother and father alone?
3. Does he know that because of him re entering her life, her share of children think she is useless and hasn't done anything for them.
Aarav disrespects his mother that she doesn't have enough money to fulfill his desires. Why couldn't he give a little amount from the millions he earnt or leave some property(the home he had in Mumbai) for nishi and aarav?..Ragini might have never used it but the kids might have needed it.
4. Why does he shout and reprimand Ragini's only friend who helped her and stood by her when he himself left her alone?

These are more important questions in life rather than favourite food, colour and hill station and unfortunately Aman has answers to all these and not Neil.

I hated the fact that Neil omitted the fact that he knows the truth behind the phone call...irrespective of anything he should have told her he knew she was not at fault.

Ragini, I know is filled with sadness right now, but she needs to start picking up the pieces now. Her effort of being brave is making things worse for her. She needs to end her "I am strong...tum much bhi karo mujhe koi farak nahi padta" with both Neil and kids and show them the love she has for them. Probably her showing that she is too has emotions and is vulnerable would make others considerate of her feelings
