i read in a lot of hate posts for veera and ranvi, and the CV for butchering Baldev's character. i get it baldev is a much loved character. but i dont see any butchering, or showing baldev in a bad light to show veera and ranvi in a good light.
and let me inform your i am not a baldev hater, i love the character because it has so many shades of grays. but for me right acts is right, and wrong acts is wrong, and wrong cannot be justified no matter how much you love the character.
baldev was and always has been the bad boy period. he was the village bully, lived and enjoyed on his fathers money, the rich spoiled brat who never took anything seriously or took any responsibility.
one of his reasons of fun was his banter with veera. which later turned to attraction and then love. it was this love that brought a change to his character, he became more caring and considerate
there is no doubt that he truly loves veera. he was not a bad person, just careless and immature.
he never took the difficult root to a problem, but had alwaysed settled for taking the easier way out of a problem, which were often illegal, bulling , threatening or falsification methods to get what he wanted.
true veer never showed blind faith in him and for good reason. because she knows he is capable of doing bad deeds, but to her credit she always did have hope and believed that he could change. and be a much better person. but alas i think he has now well and truly destroyed all that hope.
the fact is the ranvir and veera do have the moral high ground. because they have never taken shortcuts or harmed anybody for their own ends.
i not saying baldev didn't do his bit as the good person he is, but he has done more bad.
ranvi accusing baldev for nihal murder, was a misunderstanding, not he preconceived conspiracy to harm him.
baldev conspired to hurt veera, not only eliminating her out of the competition of sarpanch. but worst of all, raising questions on her moral character and honesty. the damage to her character is irreversible. will anybody trust a person who is alleged to be corrupt, dishonest.
so i dont see how people justify baldev behaviour, when even he knows deep down that he is wrong.
the way i see it he really does not deserve to be sarpanch or hold any public office. because he doesn't know the difference between right and wrong. he is easily manipulated by others and does not even realise it.
he says veera doesn't have faith in him. but he so easily believed that she has sabotaged his campaign, just because of few poisons whispers in his ear, by his mother and taiji who hate veera, and those mall guys who are looking out for their own interest.
tomorrow baldev would have sold the entire village to these cooperates, because of his ego and stupidity. and yet he will want people to trust him, that this was not his intention.
well that's wrong. and baldev is wrong. i would be highly surprised if veera does ever forgive him.
because i wouldnt if i were in her situation.
husband and wife want to fight in privet thats fine, but there is absolutely no justification to publicly humiliate and slander your spouse even is he/ she is your opponent.
