Following things happened today.
It was a average episode.
Not bad.

1.
Jodha knows Jalal learnt that language from the English people.
As she was spying on him. :-P

2.
Competition:
Salima begum wins the shooting.
Salima Begum gets a rifle as a gift.
And, Princes win the Polo match.
Salim hugs Murad genuinely.
But, Murad shrugs off Salim leaving Salim distraught.
All this Shahabuddin had already poisoned Murad's ears against Salim, by some damage to his horse, and putting the blame on Salim.
All think the princes are happy now, but that is not the case.

3.
Scene of Jodha and Akbar:
Jodha says to Akbar that he deliberately lost against the princes. :-P
Akbar says to Jodha that he also knows she kept this competition for bringing the princes close.
Later, Akbar asks Jodha to say ILU to him. She says so.

I want to tell that in reality, a similar competition was organised between Salim and Khusrau...That was elephants fight...That was done in order to bring the father-son duo close to each other. But, it ended up in a fight between both the parties. :-P

Perhaps, CV's took an inspiration from this event, and chalked out this competition for Salim and Murad. :-P

Salima MM GB

Salima has made a kheer for Salim and Murad so that both can eat together.
And come close..

5.
Sword practice(it was more a fight) between Salim and Murad.
Murad provoked Salim too much.Salim injured Murad on hand.
Salim says, he will not forgive Murad for due to him he can not meet Anarkali. :-P
Jodha was praying on terrace.
She comes running there and admonishes Salim and sympathise with Murad.
Salim and Murad leave.

6.
Jodha thinks about what to do now.
Akbar's punishment to Salim resonates in her ears.
Also, Salim's words to her that she should have changed her religion resonate in her ears.
Akbar arrives suddenly. HE asks the matter.
She asks him - "How he takes decision for his aawam".
Akbar reminds her that she should not think of changing her religion, if that thought is in her mind.

7.
Murad and Salim again clash on some issue.
Murad wants to send a person to Punjab but Salim says his grandmom, who took care of Salim in his childhood is not well.
So, Murad should excuse him.
But Murad refuses and again they clash.

MM-GB-Jodha all listen this...

8.
Ruqs thinks if Jodha does not change her religion that will be good for her, as due to this Salim will remain close to Ruqs and Not Jodha.

Precap:
Someone sends some poison laced thing to kill Jodha(??...Please explain it)

I think they are rushing to end this track, and for some more time we will have to see this rivalry...Lets see..

Happy Tamil , Bengali New Year, and we also have Baisakhi today. :D

These days, Jodha Akbar is of 40 minutes, starting 7:50 PM.

it was and average epi but loved all akdha scenes they understand eachother so well and jalal again told jodha about her conversion loved it ya from precap it seems it is chepu's father who has sent poison for jodha

Abhayda in precap sharifuddin father was planning to poison jodha. As to take revenge of shariff's death. He has sent some lady to harem with some poision mixed in mayb some clothes or jewellery and she is going to give it to jodha. But jalal sees her and wants to see what is being sent to jodha.

It was an ok episode. purpose behind organising chougaan got defiled.

it was a cute scene when Jodha says 'I love u" to Jalal, however, honestly speaking, Rajat was better at it. Nevertheless it was a cute scene.

Thanks for the update! :) Sorry, I couldn't post on yesterday's thread. I saw the second half of yesterday's episode and it was fine. :) I liked today's episode too. Though I must confess, going against the popular trend, I find Murad increasingly irritating.

The English Pay a Social Call on Akbar

If Ralph Fitch has come calling on Akbar, then the year must be 1584. Long after the mazhar was proclaimed and the din-i-ilahi propounded.

Why do the CVs think Akbar would align with Britain to isolate Shah-i-Iran?

Leaving history aside, I wonder if there is any purpose behind introducing the English into the storyline apart from their teaching Akbar to express love for his wife in English? I am curious to see what exactly these Englishmen do in the show.

These early visitors provided the East India Company with a lot of valuable information about India.

In Monday's episode, I found Akbar almost fawning over the English, seeming to be in awe of them and wanting desperately to create a good impression on them.

Akbar was better with them in Tuesday's episode - may be because he interacted very little with them.

The Declaration of Love

I find the editing irritating at times. Some scenes can be spread across episodes to maintain suspense and pull the audience. But some scenes should be shown all together. The scene where Akbar declares his love for Jodha in English would have looked better if it had been shown completely in one episode. On Monday, it appeared as if the scene had been left hanging.

I even had the feeling the CVs may forget about the scene by today. Fortunately they continued the scene and again Jodha was one up on Akbar - she already knew what he had been planning to surprise her with. 😆

It's quaint to see these 2 characters as a middle-aged couple, still so much in love, so playful together like a newly married couple, yet understanding each other, supporting each other and unwilling to see each other in pain.

More than the expression of love, what touched me was how the two were trying to hide their pain and bring their children together again. 😊

Wonder when Akbar will say eu te amo, Voc a razo da minha vida to Jodha. 😛

Cain and Abel

Whenever there are 2 brothers in a story and both desire the same thing, there is bound to be a clash. Esp when there are people like Shahbuddin to stoke the flames.

In Monday's episode, Hamida Banu called the 2 grandsons together and invited them to play the game of chaugan. While Salim was his usual huffing-puffing self, Murad seemed to be trying to give his grandmother the impression of being a goody-goody person by accepting her invittaion. I didn't get the feeling that he was genuinely respectful of her wishes.

In Tuesday's episode, Salim tried to be genuinely appreciative of Murad but was not allowed to by his brother who seems to have developed a permanent scowl these days. Leaving the past aside, I could not sympathize with Murad today, who seems to trust an outsider more than the brother he grew up with. 😕

The sword fight scene was ok though not a patch on the sword fight scene between JJ in the early days of their marriage.

I was wondering why Jodha did not offer to dress Murad's wounds.

The way Salim advocated the cause of a servant, desiring that he be left behind in Agra only, so as to tend to his grandmother, was a beautiful scene. It showed the human side of Salim, whereas, Murad could only make decisions using his head and not his heart. Murad should learn from his father that some decisions should be made from heart.

Ruqaiyya Begum Supports Jodha's Right to Remain a Rajvanshi

But, of course, she has her own reasons. She can manipulate the present situation to her advantage whereas if Jodha were to convert, Ruq would lose the advantage. It is amazing just how manipulative and selfish this queen is and yet has not been punished even once.

Remains to be seen just how far this queen goes this time. Today she was even jealous of Salima Begum for winning the shooting competition. (The pistol Akbar gifted to Salima as her prize seemed quite quaint. 😊)

Return of SD's Father

Villains never die in Ekta's shows - they just hide in the closet and reappear whenever required. The same is the case with Sharifuddin's father.

This time he plans to harm Jodha thru some object. But why he wants to harm Jodha is something I could not understand. 😕

Parting Words for Akbar

I am none too impressed with the Jalal that is being shown these days. Yet, I still sympathize with him for old times' sake.

So, a few words of good counsel from a friend, though he seems to have already understood the essence of these words:

"When you find your path, you must not be afraid. You need to have sufficient courage to make mistakes. Disappointment, defeat, and despair are the tools God uses to show us the way."

"The two hardest tests on the spiritual road are the patience to wait for the right moment and the courage not to be disappointed with what we encounter."

thnx for d update I thnk reading ur update it seems d epi ws okayish so I thnk I may nt watch d whole epi bt wil watch only d akdha scenes and rest I will ff it...dnt want 2 bore myself watching d siblings rivalry...precap seems 2 b interesting...wil wait and see wat is shown...hopefully dis track gts over soon m fed up nw...simply dragging it...nothing else...

Jalal says tell me those words jodha says No jalal said if u will not say i wont talk with u then finally jodha said😆
Jodha was in tension jalal comes n assures her ,he tells dont think about conversion.
