I thought she was good in LVRB. Very cute and bubbly.

Then I really enjoyed her in Ishaqzaade... one of my most favorite female performances of recent time.

She followed it up with SDR (didn't like very much but I thought Sushant and Pari looked nice)... HTP (hated her and the movie)... Kill Dill (the less said, the better) and DEI (Adi-Pari were cute, performances were okay but it's not a breakthrough role).

She needs to bounce back - I think she's a good actress. I personally find Alia better in acting and of course, clearly in choosing roles but Pari isn't a bad actress and deserves to stay. Hope she gets her hands on a good project soon.

Ishaqzaade and SDR were hits! LVRB, HTP were average earners and KD and DeI were flops!

So she has had some successful films but her choices in roles are horrible

Parineeti was the total opposite. I mean stuff Kill Dill (crap movie); DEI ( while the movie was different and good, the role she was playing was the exact same as she had done countless times) and so on...

The thing to bear in mind with Alia is that Karan Johar is her mentor. He has a lot to do with the fact that she is doing a variety of roles. KJo himself stated that he told Imtiaz to cast Alia in Highway. That gave Alia's career a huge push. KJo practically forced Sajid Nadiadwala and Chetan Bhagat to take Alia for 2 States. Shandaar is a Dharma-Phantom film. For Udta Punjab, Ekta Kapoor has come on board who is closely associated with KJo. HSKD and Kapoor & sons: Dharma.

I'm not saying that Alia is not talented. What I'm saying is KJo is a huge reason for her success. Her real test will come when she decides to do a script that is not linked to KJo in anyway.

Parineeti on the other hand has latched onto YRF for dear life. Yes, she did HTP, but that was Dharma-Phantom and I don't think there is much difference between YRF and Dharma. Sticking with YRF has done her no favours. What she should have done is branched out to different production houses when she was getting appreciation for her work. It's hard to believe she hasn't been offered any good scripts from outside YRF.

Now after 2 flops, failing to carry out a glam-doll role and zero buzz, I don't think many filmmakers are interested in her.

It's going to take one helluva kickass film for her to bounce back.
