if a film premiers at cannes does it mean the film is good? as in do they watch the film b4 accepting it for opening night? or they just accept a film without seeing it based on who has made it?

Kashyap said he has shown it to many festival committees and he's never been scared of criticism. I think he must be pretty confident to show it two days before the Indian release. Critics there won't be easily impressed. Its a double-edged sword.

true, also it will be huge publicity for the film if BV premieres at Cannes.

Anurag has to use his contacts and make a deal, it's a shame if he won't be able to make a deal considering how he is known to be very well known at the film festival.

Any idea when the promotions starts? fox is like usual very silent in advance.
