Season2 had a purpose. Mostly Tanveer fall. Also, SAHIL had good chemistry too and got some eyeballs. Overall the twin story also had traction!

So far Season 3 is sort of in limbo land. Not sure where it's going but hopefully now the narrative will gain some momentum! But I agree. Season 1 family and story were the best!

You know S1 had a rounded story because they were very clear what they wanted at that time...but their was always a thought in PH's mind of going with the original story which was in their mind and that was the Triangle between Asad / Zoya / Ayaan but because ASYA became inseperable and Audiences start shipping and worshipping them...they delayed that track..but again they can't take Goodness and with that they couldn't digest the success and had to introduce Zoyaan and destroy all of it with their own hands...
S2 was I guess never into consideration till KSG was their...so after his exit they had to think of something to set things off for them again...and win loyal viewers back...so after a certain time S2 was planned...as you said it had a purpose , that was Tanveer's downfall & it was working in favour for you guys...but then again couldn't hold it any longer and introduced nonsensical twists...and now again when everything we getting lost they introduced S3.
And I guess why the comparison between they 3 seasons...
They are connected to eachother...but have different storyline and plots...so I guess Comparing the TRP's of S1 to others is not even good...
And Because of this Bloody TRP's we lost this show many times to Illogial Twists.

Q1 had a lot of scope for a GREAT family drama, BUT none of the family issues tracks were dealt with and ALL of them just fizzled out VERY anticlimactically...

As for the family's the one thing I LOVED was the step siblings relations portrayal between Asad and Ayan as well as the rest of the sisters from both the families...
One thing odd that striked me with Asad's family was how much closer they showed Zoya with Dilshad than Najma and it kind of took away the realism for me from that family...I also loved Raziya and her family drama part as well..
But Dilshad was actually THE BEST character for me in Q1...

Zoya is not my type of heroine either since I don't relate that much to OTT characters and honestly Sj's acting as Sanam is her best work so far IMO.

Come to think of it Sj has played just two different roles with regards to type of character which is Zoya and Sanam...
Sanam is strong, independent, fiesty and passionate but not OTT and most of all mature and not judgmental but not Mahan either...(ofcourse the mahan bit was added later after the swap and the funk taken out too and given to Seher)
Both Jannat and Seher are the same type of characters as Zoya...

zoya was close to dilshad because she saw her mother in dilshad i m also very close to my mom

Did I say Zoya didn't give it back. I watched a bit and Zoya was not my type of heroine because she was more hyper and OTT than Sanam.

I said Zoya was not my type of heroine. Full stop. Sanam was. Then I proceeded to talk about Sanam. I never said what of these was or wasn't Zoya.

I will grant, I could've structured and separated my paragraph differently. But I was about to go to sleep.

I said compared to how Dilshad was shown with Najma, Zoya and Dislhad was shown as more close from the very begining. But I still loved the family drama even in KV...

Actually unlike most for whom Q1's charm was Asya, for me the biggest charm was the family drama both in SM and KV...But I was so bitterly dissapointed in how they dealt with the gulhiya factory track and pretty much all the other family related tracks never reached traction either...
But family drama was what I appreciated Q1 for...😃
