You try reaching out for the 'stars' with your feet on the ground. But as the small screen celebrities make you wait outside their hotel room even after fixing an appointment, you get the impression that they are nothing less than leading lights of Bollywood. Right, meeting them is as tough as catching a falling star — that's exactly how you feel as 'Kasturi' Shubhangi Atre Poorey has her grub in the room, while you shift your weight from one leg to another in the corridor. But then your impression kind of changes when Poorey starts talking about the need to have a platform for the young artistes to air their grievances! "With television emerging as a powerful medium, along with the movies, the entertainment industry has really expanded. Along with it have increased the chances of exploitation! It's time to establish a forum or some organisation to safeguard the interest of the youngsters," asserts Poorey. The young protagonist of television serial Kasturi believes it's never too late to join the entertainment industry, but before graduation it's a bit too early. "I think the youngsters should first complete their graduation so that they are better acquainted with the ways of the world."

Right now, Poorey is on the lookout for good roles. "I am a hardcore Balaji Telefilms fan. So I need a real good role to make me leave television and act in movies."
