In Gupta house,
Khushi and Buaji were at Sashi's room asking Garima what doctor had said regarding Sashi's health. Khushi was in other world. She was already missing Arnav. Garima saw Khushi lost in her thought. She asked Khushi "Kya hua Bitiya (What happened Bitiya )?"
Sudeenly the doorbell rang, Khushi got up"hum dekhthe hain Amma, Koun hai darwaja pai(let me see who is at the door)"
She rushed and opened the door.She stood there shocked "Aap? (You )" staring at Arnav.
Arnav huskily "Haa Main ... Why can't I come here?"
Before she could respond, Buaji came there
"Khon hai Nanda Kisore (Who is there Nanda Kisore)?" spotting Arnav standing outside the door "Arnav Bitwa tum darwaja kyu ho andar aoo (Arnav Bitwa why are you at the door ... come inside)"
Arnav stood there confused looking Buaji alright "Buaji aap ki thabeth kesi hai (Buaji how is your health)?"
"Humre thabeth? Humko kya hoga Babua? Hum to teek hai (My health? What happened to me Babua? I am alright)"she laughed loudly." tum andhar aao Babua (Come inside Babua)"
Arnav looked at Khushi who had a guilty look on her face. He realised immediately that Khushi had lied to him as she failed to look at him into his eyes.He remembered how she stopped him this morning when he told her he will also stay at Buaji's house and how again she stopped him from seeing Buaji when he dropped her.
Arnav asked Buaji "Buaji kya main Khushi se akhele main kuch baath kar saktha hoon (Buaji can I talk with Khushi alone)?"
Khushi jerked her eyes up to his. He looked back at her with anger simmering within him.
Buaji laughed "Ha Babua woh tumra biwi hai tum jitna chahe utna baath karlo hum andar jata hain (Yes Babua she is your wife. You can talk to her how long you want. I'm going inside)"with that she left from there.
Arnav held Khushi by the hand and pulled her roughly with him outside to the balcony. Khushi struggled to free her hand but as always his grip is stronger.
"Khushi tumne mujhse jhoot bola?Tumne kaha tha ki Buaji's ki thabeth karaabh hai aur tum unko dekhbaal karne ke liye yahaan rukhna chahthi thi? Par Buaji tho bilkul teek hai.Kyun kaha tumne aisa?( Khushi why you lied to me? you said Buaji is ill so you will stay in her house to look after her. But Buaji is alright. Why you said to me this? )"
She remained quiet.
"I asked kyun dammit?Answer me!! why you lied to me?"
Khushi equally angered shouted back "Kyunki Mr.Raizada,sayad aap bhool rahe hai ki aapki aur hamari contract wali saadi kal raath katham hui thi. Aaj se hum dhono pathi patni nahi hai (Because Mr.Raizada you have forgotten yours and mine contract marriage had ended yesterday night. From today we are not husband and wife)"
Arnav felt as if the entire ground below him shaking thinking what happened between them after that Khushi considered their marriage as mere contract.Shakily he took a step forward to her" Khushi yeh saari contract baathon ko bhool jao pls waapas aajao (Khushi please forget about the contract marriage ... please comeback)"
Khushi said with no emotion "Humme wahaan aane ki ab koi zaroorath nahi hai (there is need of mine comeback there )"
Arnav pleaded "zaroorath hai Khushi ... pls mere saath ghar chalo main tumhare bina jee naji paonga (it's indeed Khushi ... pls Khushi come home with me ... I cann't live without you)"
Khushi almost gave in but she remembered she is doing this for di and his happiness and also for doing thing right between her Jiji and Akash Jijaji."Arnav ji hum waapas kabhi nahi aayenge.Aap yahaan se chale jaayiye(Arnav ji I will never come back there ... please go from here)"
Arnav pleaded "Khushi please comeback for me"
"Why will I comeback there for you? All the bad things happened to my life the main reason is you. Mr. Raizada if I didn't meet you that day, if only you didn't release that blasted video, I wouldn't have been troubled by those ruffians in Lucknow and I wouldn't have met that scoundrel Shyam who acted like hero to save me. I wouldn't have been forced to get engage to him. I wouldn't have been forced to marry a monster like you! How I wish I have never met you! How I wish not to see your face anymore!" Khushi told him. Though she didn't mean a thing she said, but his every word pricked his heart. Without a word he turned and left from there.The pain in his eyes pricked hers, tears was streaming down her cheeks "Arnav ji...I'm sorry.."
She wiped off her tears and went inside the house.
Not seeing Arnav with Khushi. Garime asked her "Damad ji kaha hai (where is Damad ji ) ?"
Khushi "Unka office sa phone aya wo wapis office chale gaya (he had a call from office ... he again went to office)"
With that she went inside her room locking the door behind her a thought full Garima.
