All men do not have freedom you mentioned.

Men have pressure in choosing subjects and careers of their choice, in many households men are also questioned for being late, men get beaten up, dragged to court for affairs, all men have not been spared from lynching, honour killing and being thrashed, it's not like nobody questions men if they have sex with other males, females or don't have sex at all, men get rape cases slapped against them if affair goes wrong.

I don't know how is it being assumed that men have it all and are not judged and women should therefore also have it all and not face judgement at all.

Also I do not think in name of empowerment we need to copy what men do.

I also believe in mutual discipline. What else are we gonna have tomorrow? Men pee in open so we should also have the right to do so? How about everyone exercising certain discipline?

Men also have pressure to have bulky bodies, be of certain height, fairness creams have come up for men also. It is like pretending only women have pressure and face issues but men don't.

The Sanjay Dutt video might be about rules of masculinity but he might justify it as freedom of expression and choice to guide his fellow men as he deems fit.

Forget that video, just imagine men in such a My Choice video saying words like, my pleasure maybe your pain, my choice to have sex outside marriage etc and think what reactions would emanate. He would be called MCP and whatnot.

There are loads of films and serials that call out on men for being lazy, jobless, drunkards, drug addicts, rude, going to parties, having affairs, ignoring wife and kids, coming home late, being too much of workaholics etc. There are cases of women committing suicide because husband was having extra marital affair. I wonder how can we criticise men on such behaviour and then alongside have women declaring they can also do anything in name of choice? I do not understand!

It seems hypocritical to release messages on rethinking masculinity and upbringing of boys, teaching males how to behave or not but to justify anything as a personal choice if a woman does it.

I don't understand how we want men to lean in but women says whether to come home late or early is her choice?

It's become a double edged sword now. Any disagreement is branded as result of patriarchy or curb on freedom. I honestly cannot make sense of this scheme of things. Sorry.

👏👏 seems people have forgotten the movie 3 Idiots. Where they showed how some boys commit suicide because of pressure or are forced into a profession they do not want to pursue.

Not every men have all the freedom, these are some misconception some feminist have.

Nothing is Black or white, every human being is grey. So are women not all of them are innocent even they have done some questionable things to men.

The thread was meant for discussion on the short film and not for mocking/demeaning and taking digs at celebrities and each other. The DT did give time to members to discuss and not close the thread but the mocking still continues.

The topic is being closed and DT will review it for action against erring members.
