Anjali waited for a reply with bated breath but she twisted her lips and shook her head as in response she received Arnav's glare.

"Are you serious Di?"

"100%" she replied and Arnav rolled his eyes.

"Di...you know.."

"I don't know Chhote. No it's high time - "she was cut off.

"Excuse me. Di... What's the hurry? I'm not running away anywhere" Arnav said, annoyed at the way her sister was behaving.

"Of course. You can't run away but I'm not saying you to marry Lavanya right away. We can have the wedding later but now..."

"No engagement also Di" Arnav said sternly.

Anjali stared at him for a moment, and then something clicked her mind and her eyes went wide.

"Chhote...do you love someone.." she couldn't complete her sentence as Arnav again glared at her, rolling his eyes.

"Then...what's the matter? Why are you so reluctant about marrying Lavanya?" asked Anjali.

Arnav sighed exasperated.

"Di... at least let me clear my Masters, and moreover...I have some responsibilities now. I have to concentrate more on AR Corps. after I complete my MBA. I don't have any plans of marriage with anyone yet" he said.

Anjali smiled and held his hand.

"I understand Chhote...but we can at least let you and Lavanya get engaged" said Anjali trying make him understand her point.

"Again Di. What's the hurry? I know I have to marry Lavanya someday but that someday hasn't come yet" he said and Anjali sighed, defeated by Arnav's stern voice.

She pouted.

"Hum to bss itna chahte they ke ...I mean..." she stopped looking at Arnav.

"Even it would have been a good opportunity for Khushi Ji to drown herself in the marriage chores, forgetting every grief. She would have enjoyed a lot" she said and Arnav sighed, rubbing on his temples.

He looked up at Anjali who was looking at him with anticipation. An amused smiled crept up on his face. He shook his head. His dear sister was still hoping for a yes.

But he can't agree with her. He can't take up the responsibility of marriage now...not now, not at this age.

His Bhai's Business deserves more attention and concentration now. He wants to take AR Corps. to new heights, making it extremely successful . The success which his brother had always dreamed of.

And Lavanya is too clingy sometimes; it would be harder for him to handle her and the business simultaneously.

"So?"

"It's a 'Not now' Di. Please understand. I first want to take up the responsibility of AR Corps. and then I'll think about this marriage stuff. Right now my only focus is Bhai's business. Then I'll do whatever you want" he said holding her hand.

Anjali looked at him for a moment and then nodded understandingly.

"Okay. I understand" she smiled.

Arnav let out sigh of relief but then looked at her curiously.

"By the way...how this thing got in your mind?" he asked and Anjali narrowed her eyes.

"Ye to kab se hamare dimaagh main tha Chhote but you know, yesterday I saw the love for you in Lavanya's eyes. She's worried for you...so I just thought if.." she trailed silent and shrugged.

Arnav shook his head at her and Anjali chuckled.

Khushi closed the door of Deviyani's room quietly, a smile playing on her lips. It was so nice talking with her.

She got so happy when she told her she wasn't leaving them ever. The smile and the sparkle in her old aged eyes were worth watching.

She had hugged her so tightly, and had patted her head and caressed her back, reminding her of her Bua Ji.

And then the rest of time, they spent with each other talking and chatting about various things which really lit her mood and refreshed her.

They chatted about the famous sweets of Lucknow, about the handiwork. And she told her some funny stories that made her laugh her heart out.

Overall, she was feeling very much contented and happy than before.

As she stepped the last step of the staircase, she noticed Aakash near the Hallway. His sharp features reflecting only tension and trouble.

His phone was in his clutch and he was pacing continuously.

"Aakash" Khushi called as she reached him.

He turned back and finding Khushi, he flashed a small fake smile.

Khushi smiled back.

"What's wrong? You look tensed?" she asked concernedly.

Khushi noticed as Aakash quickly straightened himself from a slumped posture.

"Urh No...I'm good" he said.

"You don't look" she raised an eyebrow.

He gave a small smile again and hung his head down.

"You can share it with me. Maybe I can help" Khushi said with a bright smile.

For a moment his eyes lit up and he snapped his head up at Khushi.

"You can...?" he asked.

"Yep until you share it with me" she said but then his smile faded.

"Urh...Actually-" he sounded nervous.

"Aakas bitwa..." They heard Manorma call him.

"I'll be right back" he said and Khushi nodded.

Khushi sighed, her hands hanging down on her sides. She turned around and let out a hiss as her head collided with Arnav's and she lost her balance but Arnav caught her quickly in his arms before she could touch the tiled floor.

"Oww" Khushi muttered, her eyes squinted and her arms around Arnav's neck while Arnav held her securely in his embrace.

She opened her eyes and rubbed her forehead while Arnav's eyes were stuck on her. Her gaze then fell on Arnav who saved her, staring right back at her.

Khushi straightened herself and looked at Arnav apologetically.

"I'm sorry-"

"No, I'm sorry. I was so lost...i didn't notice you and...but what are you doing here?" he apologized and questioned.

"Waiting for Aakash" Khushi replied with a small smile.

"Aakash?" he looked at her confusedly.

"Yep...Actually, he is tensed...don't know what's bugging him" Khushi muttered.

"Huh.." Arnav chuckled.

"What?" Khushi asked with a faint smile.

"Bhabhi...you are worrying yourself simply. He's tensed because of Payal. It's normal and nothing more." He said totally amused.

"Because of Payal? But why?" Khushi asked, totally confused.

Why would he be tensed for Payal? Has something happened to her? Or don't they like each other? She have seen them...stealing glances and passing small shy smiles.

"I don't know. It's his business...something might be wrong" he said shrugging.

"You must ask him" Khushi said.

"Why?" Arnav shot a confused look.

"Because you are his brother. You should help him out if you know the base of his problem" said Khushi, truly concerned for them.

Arnav chuckled again.

"Bhabhi...why should I help him out? He's not a baby and they must have had a small fight. I guess" he said.

"But...he was really tensed" Khushi spoke.

Arnav shook his head and tried to make her understand when Aakash appeared. His gaze fell on Arnav and then at Khushi.

"So, this is it?" Khushi asked and Aakash nodded sadly leaning against the dressing table of his room.

"Told you. Hadn't i?" spoke up Arnav tearing the packet of Lays in his hand.

Khushi glanced at Arnav and then at Aakash, pondering over Aakash's words.

According to him, nothing went wrong between them...All was good, they were slowly coming closer and Aakash had already fallen in love with her but then Payal's behavior changed and she started staying aloof and sad all the time.

On his much insistence also, she didn't spill the beans. She wasn't picking up his calls, not talking to him, ignoring him unlike before.

Something had changed and so Aakash is worried, troubled and scared. He doesn't want to lose her. He cannot afford it.

"What should I do now Bhabhi?" asked Aakash helplessly and Khushi felt pity for him.

He was really head over heels for Payal and Payal, guess she is too...she has seen the love for Aakash in her eyes too...

"I think we need to make Payal speak out the truth somehow..." Khushi spoke and Aakash shook his head.

"How? I've - " Aakash stopped the moment Arnav chewed noisily.

He ignored and continued.

"I've tried so hard, so many -" And Arnav let out a crunchy sound again making Aakash glare at him.

Arnav's hand halted in the midway and he looked at Khushi and then at Aakash.

"Sorry" he muttered and folded the half eaten pack of Lays.

"So many times but she just doesn't give in. She's so stubborn" he said...exasperated.

"Then? Lavanya's her best friend right? Has she told her?" Khushi asked.

"No even Lavanya is clueless" he said.

Khushi looked away trying to come up with a quick solution.

Aakash looked at Arnav who was again crunching on chips.

"You don't feel any sympathy for me Bhai. Right?"

Arnav cocked an eyebrow at him.

"Here, I am so tensed and so troubled...and you are busy eating those...those lays. I mean seriously??" he said shaking his head a li'l vigorously.

Arnav looked at the packet of lays and then at him.

"You don't wanna help me?" he spoke again and Arnav sighed.

He went towards Aakash and patted on his chest.

"Bol Bhai. What shall I do for you? I'm ready to help you" he suppressed a smile and Aakash stared at him with an expressionless face.

"Tu agar kahe to main chand bhi tere qadmon main rakhne ke liye ready hun. Wassay?" Arnav asked with a cheeky grin wiggling his eyebrows.

Aakash rolled his eyes and looked away sadly.

"You really don't understand me" he muttered.

Arnav chuckled and wrapped an arm around his shoulders and squeezed them.

"C'mon man...I was kidding" he punched on his chest playfully.

"Tell me...what can I do for you? To make your love story successful.." he asked.

"I have a plan" Khushi spoke up, her eyes sparkling and her finger up in air.

Both the boys glanced at each other and nodded at Khushi.
