The flashbacks did not make sense

Okay so the way the cvs showed in the earlier episodes...flashbacks,..Ragini and Neil yelling at each other with lots of hatred..I felt like there is a really strong reason for their separation..like a strong strong one...But the reason was so fazool. like cant believe it ...and Neil was getting separated from his wife. He was going away from her day by day. He could have just told Ragini ...the problem secretly..it wasnt like Ragini was gonna put it on the newspaper the next day.

He could have absolutely avoided this misunderstanding...
