No one is a fraud here. One Ankita fan from India bought a voting pack from Sify I way. It has a code and charges Rs. 2 per vote. That person shared the voting code with rest of the fans and they are voting for their favorite.

If anyone is interested then they can do the same for their fan. Go to http://indianidol.sify.com/iwayvote/indianidol_vote.php?id=1 2

Well Maya, it clearly says, quote 'Voting is open to only those residing in India'. Hence, I am as suspicious as ever before on whether this really works or not. First it is absolutely against the rule of the game, as per the info provided in your link. Second, if somehow people manage to vote from outside India, it's only possible by manipulating the technology. I am sure sify.com engineers are aware of this situation too. My intuition says this is just a deception. Ankita's fans are fooled and the guy is gathering email and other infos of the fans who'd like to vote for her, says mr_bond.😛

On today's elimination, I thought Chang didn't deserve it. But I had foreseen it a week ago. People should look into the number game instead of being emotional when it comes to guessing results. Now all the girls who have voted for Chang will turn their hands to Amit. Rest and the Jharkhand and Bengali votes will go to Emon. So there's a strong possibility of Amit-Emon final, according to your wish. Prashant fans are mostly the same old ones who need to vote more frantically than ever before to push him in the top 2 spot. His singing won't be taken into consideration, whether he sings good or not- neither by his critics who are predetermined that he is a bad singer, nor by his supporters who have their integrity questioned by everyone including judges. As a Prashant supporter, I hope his fans won't take a breather😊 As for Ankita she may get few extra votes from those who favour a girl idol, apart from her usual fans. So if Prashant vs Ankita final happens as you fear, I am sure the better singer will win😛

But my verdict on Prashant's chances remain the same.
'As more contestants are eliminated, their voters will start voting against Prashant. So when Puja get's eliminated, Emon will get support from her fans. When Chang gets eliminated, either Emon or Amit will get their support. And so does the trend develops. Even if he gets the most number of votes, Sony will intervene and announce a different winner.'

But this is just my presumption. Lets see what happens in the future.😊

it's like borrowing your sibling's phone with his/her consent and sending SMS-es from it. the person who's providing the voting codes is paying for each vote, so basically he's sending in the votes via someone else. i don't see how that's morally wrong.

but 'Voting is open to only those residing in India' means something different, isn't it?

because those voting codes are only sold inside india? what could be a possible explanation for why they allow viewers from UAE, KSA, Bahrain, Oman, UK to vote through SMS but not online?
