Perhaps it means that the marriage itself might Eire not take place or get delayed. It could be the wild card Gulkand factor that metaphorically makes the plate fall, meaning that if she gets even a sniff of what is going on, she is not going to remain silent, but do everything in her power to stop this wedding.

Thank you aimf for providing clarity. Your explanation provides the most likely scenario. Gulkand, definitely is the wild card. And, she will do anything and everything to stop this wedding.
