Why Prashant chose lousy songs?

For Prashant's fans, it is always disappointing that he rarely picks up a good song that is popular enough or fits with his voice. All of us were blaming him. But today, I with some of my friends discovered the truth behind that.

From the transcript of Emon's chat:

omishah asks Emon: would you please choose a song which is sung by any other singer but Sonu Nigam?
emon says I have to sing the songs that have been chosen for me. It just so happened that many of them were songs sung by Sonuji. I did not protest because the songs were also very good.

It says that the contestant cannot choose any song they like. It has to be from a couple of songs provided to each one of them. So, may be those guys at sony are not being fair with Prashant in the choices provided to him. May be it just clicked us from Emon's reply to one of his fan's query.

Prashant once said he was happy that he got an opportunity to sing Sarfarosh's song. That tells the music director working with the contestants select the songs for each contestant rather than contestants pick their own songs. Knowing the facts that contestants cannot choose their songs why judges comment on right or wrong choice of the songs or even say easy or hard to sing. I think judges and the team are malaciously acting to let certain contestants like Prashant and Ankita's confidence down and boost the confidence for their favourite ones. This is totally unfair politics.

Now it is clear how Sony and Judges are playing politics to bring Prashant down. Ultimately, Mr. Bond's analysis seems to be very very true. Later on even if Prashant gets overwhelming votes, Sony may remove him from the list.

But in a vote hunting competition, the choice of song matters a lot.

For the next Disco round of Gala to be aired on Friday, they gave Prashant a lousy song instead of a DISCO song. There are tonnes of good disco songs around the floor in which Prashant could have performed way above the margin of the good performance level, but he has been given such a bad choice of song that even Kishor da could not make that song a popular disco number.

they should give prashant a better song to sing.that's not fair.

thts wat i thot too.. hez capable of singing much better if the song choices were better as well😳 .. but i don't understand in last gala y did judges nag him fo choosing easier song.. can't he say tht it was chosen for him or don't judges knw 'bout this?? 😕 😕 😕

Thats BS, they dont let contestant choose their songs and later say. bad song selection. Not only with Prashant but even with Amit in a couple of cases.

Prashant is not a good porfomer and on top of that if he gets lousy songs, how can he convince Janatas.

hmm most of his songs werent lousy...just one or two... 😕 ... he just hasnt sung them well...not the songs fault...

that's so stupid cz the judges reward the contestants for "choosing" hard song remember wen pooja sang "Ai mere watan ke logo" by lata mangeshkar
judges said wow u r brave and watever.

Besides that's pretty stupid they can't choose any song they want cz if they give them unpopular songs it won't matter if they sing them well cz public own't like it

Let's say if some1 sings Ya ali and he sings it bad the public won't know but will still likek the singer cz of the song
