Hi everyone so watching TSM I felt the story is very similar to my one, When I was a kid,my dad was a buisnessman and we are 3 sisters too, We use to go to a prestigious International School in Mumbai and lead a cvomfortable life
then suddenly he suffered a huge lose and was bankrupt and in heavy debt, overnight we went from living in a posh home in Bandra to a chawl nearbyHowever my dad wasn't a quiiter like Rishi is and we as a family managed to overcome those daysBUT Now here is the thing, I was around 8 at that time and my sisters 4 and 6!! and we were nowhere near as rich as Amaya's family, what I meant was we were a comfortable uppermiddle class family then overnight became poorFrom what I see in this show, the older sister who was getting engaged and all seems like a grown up woman around 22 or 24Amaya seems around 18-20 and the youngest a teenagerSince they lead such a luxurious life, they must have had a good education aswellSo if the dad went bankrupt and committed suicide, Why can't their older sister get a job, ya know, like we regular civilians do for a living? Or were they spoonfed to the point they cannot imagine getting a job like us regular civilians?even their mom seems like an illogical woman, you know, they could just go to Delhi or somewhere metro in India get jobs and lived their life comfortably thereBut instead they went to Benaras and Amaya was showing selling tea in the promosI Mean come on people, heights!! Why would an educated girl, most probablly in great Internation School go on to sell tea in the streets and not just apply for a regular job?I Would assume Amu is young, but the older one, what abt her? if she was getting engaged, she must be an adultwhat abt their mom?Do they want to portray they are all useless and incapable with their ''gold daddy''?Shows like these sure seem to portray so, even if not intentionally

I'm sure they will show them having appropriate jobs soon. Promos could be misleading ;) I think the writers are doing a good job taking time to show the Mathur's downfall- it just goes to show the daughters are going to need to work thrice as hard now. As for going to Banaras- the purpose of the show as the creator has said is to show that opportunities are available in smaller cities now- one doesn't need to go to big cities. This chai thing will def be temporary! :)
And glad you're family came out the situation fine.
