Point 1: Why can't the women work? : Let the story unfold first. Here they were living like queens in their life. First blow came with the news of their bankruptcy and second is the sudden demise of their superhero. They need time to swallow the pain. Obviously they will do something or the other when they will find no other way out.

Point 2: Bankruptcy was okay but Rishi was also accused of forgery. Obviously, his character was shown who made no future plans or savings. I would wonder why nothing was saved in the name of his children. The bank cannot take anything that comes from his children. Most of the industrialist let their kids involve in the business for which they officially receive salary. If he had his daughters in there they could at least have a home on their own. Indian shows portrays becharapan more than its needed. Even Subroto Ray's empire has fallen apart but his family is not on the streets.

Hi everyone so watching TSM I felt the story is very similar to my one, When I was a kid,my dad was a buisnessman and we are 3 sisters too, We use to go to a prestigious International School in Mumbai and lead a cvomfortable life

then suddenly he suffered a huge lose and was bankrupt and in heavy debt, overnight we went from living in a posh home in Bandra to a chawl nearby

However my dad wasn't a quiiter like Rishi is and we as a family managed to overcome those days

BUT Now here is the thing, I was around 8 at that time and my sisters 4 and 6!! and we were nowhere near as rich as Amaya's family, what I meant was we were a comfortable uppermiddle class family then overnight became poor

From what I see in this show, the older sister who was getting engaged and all seems like a grown up woman around 22 or 24

Amaya seems around 18-20 and the youngest a teenager

Since they lead such a luxurious life, they must have had a good education aswell

So if the dad went bankrupt and committed suicide, Why can't their older sister get a job, ya know, like we regular civilians do for a living? Or were they spoonfed to the point they cannot imagine getting a job like us regular civilians?

even their mom seems like an illogical woman, you know, they could just go to Delhi or somewhere metro in India get jobs and lived their life comfortably there

But instead they went to Benaras and Amaya was showing selling tea in the promos

I Mean come on people, heights!! Why would an educated girl, most probablly in great Internation School go on to sell tea in the streets and not just apply for a regular job?

I Would assume Amu is young, but the older one, what abt her? if she was getting engaged, she must be an adult

what abt their mom?

Do they want to portray they are all useless and incapable with their ''gold daddy''?

Shows like these sure seem to portray so, even if not intentionally

Sorry to hear about your story...but I am sure it must have made u all stronger..kudos...and yes,as u said..ur dad was there to support u.
Here,if Rishi were alive...he would have been arrested and in jail...the story will not move forward much...now Rishi has taken the easy way out...it is cowardice, but many people do this...and if the mathur family stay ack in mumbai..they have to face so many issues...we nave seen how much they have been insulted in the last few days...for the mistakes committed by their dad...no one is ready to support them, save the lawyer and the servants...if they have the option of living in their own house, away from the city, why not avail it?and why subject themselves to humiliation staying back in mumbai, when they have a better alternative? I think sneha took a v wise decision...and regarding amaya as a tea vendor..I think it might be because of her stupid plans of going bbackto mumbai after 3 months that she mkght not have take up any decent job...to top it she has been shown to be rebellious, dojng things exactly contradictory to what the others suggest. And it is amaya who will have to struggle the most...as the other three will adapt more easily...and so the struggle is shown rightfrom day 1...I dont think she might start to be a vendor by choice...may be an impulsive decision...may be some tiff with the hero...something ...let us wait and see how it unfolds...I dont expect her to tell her family...that she is willing to be a chai vendor to support them immediately...rachi may do...not amu...let us see

see, their life changed in a single night from a royal , luxurious to i dont like to say but homeless in mumbai
dad's/husband's death , bankruptcy, scandals and wat not.
amaya still is not able to take it ! anyhow amaya's mom being a matured and sensible woman took the quick decision to go to banaras, that was the highest they cud do... or else how can they survive and manage in an expensive city like mumbai.
i think they need some time to get over the shock and overcome and bring out their inner strenght.
and getting a job in mumbai and settling in one day their is vey very difficult.
rishi's lawyer said no one is giving rent on hearing rishi's name.
amaya has said three months, hope she changes herself and achieves !

Promos could be misleading ;) I think the writers are doing a good job taking time to show the Mathur's downfall- it just goes to show the daughters are going to need to work thrice as hard now. As for going to Banaras- the purpose of the show as the creator has said is to show that opportunities are available in smaller cities now- one doesn't need to go to big cities. This chai thing will def be temporary! :)

And glad you're family came out the situation fine.

Your's is a very inspiring story. Thank you for sharing that. As for the title of your thread, I often wonder who some of these serials are aimed at🤢
