Just got a chance to read Chang's interview posted on IndianIdolsify and on this forum. He is such a down to earth guy. No classical training, yet he sings well, and he is so modest about it. When he was asked what would he do if he won, he said this:

I would be really happy if I won it. At the same time, I would love to be sober and down-to-earth. The song I would sing after winning would probably be 'Yahoo, Chahe Koi Muje Junglee Kahe'..

All I can say is that Chang we are proud of you. Your modesty, your good nature, and your singing has impressed one and all. Broadminded, cultured, humble, yet talented--you are a true Indian. I pray Chang goes far in life not just in this contest, because he makes us Indians living abroad very proud and I think he is deserving to be the Indian Idol because in the true sense, I "idolize" him for the remarkable person that he is😊

I hope Chang never gets to read what Puja said in her exit interview, because some her comments directed at Chang, Prashant and Ankita like "the rest are only here for winning" that were made in anger and spite will only hurt him. I am sure even Puja will regret saying those things at some point in life, especially about such a nice and humble guy like Chang.

i agree he is good human being but not competent enough to win II3

a singing competetion should be won by a good singer not a good human being only , at present amit and emon are perfect choices

I read that this Gala he sang very well. To be honest, Indian Idol is about singing, personality, attitude and everything. Singing is most important of course, but Chang is improving day by day. Also, when I think of Indian Idol, I think of someone I idolize like rockstar or a diva and in that sense I felt he is worthy of being Indian Idol.

Well, I think we should give him a chance because coming from no classical training he has performed well on all rounds and evne though he is not as trained and ready for playback as Emon, his performances are getting better day by day. This Gala, all the judges unaminously thought he was excellent. So, if he sings excellently from now on, then why not. Plus, I will be happy if a good singer + excellent human being won the show. It would be make me proud😊 of my our new Indian Idol.

Roobaroo and Rima...you made valid points. Let us discuss..what we should expect in Indian Idol?

In my opinion...A great singer, a good performer , a nice person and a good personality to idolize.

Abhijit Sawant was good singer, performer , nice person and have improved his personality a lot now. He was a boy next door and was apt choice for Indian Idol...Equally Amit Sana was.

Sandeep ..I dont want to comment .

Amit/Emon/Chang - Chang has edge of becoming nicest person..but Amit and Emon are having edges in main criteria of Singing.

singing in 1 gala is not enuf , except ruth aa gaye re none of his galas were upto the mark

and we dont have such short term memories also , he might go further by teenage girlie votes or chang chung bhaichara votes

but the truth remains he is no match for emon amit puja deepali

chang seems to be a really good person and I have always had a lot of respect for him. He's someone I really look up to and I really do hope he goes far in life. I think he will because as they say "good things happen to good people." But even Chang has admitted that there are better singers than him in the competition so I'm not sure he'll win. But that's ok because he's focused and driven and he'll make his dreams come true, with or without Indian Idol. I'm personally rooting for emon or amit (because I think they're better singers) but Chang will always be special to me because of the person he is. As far as I know he's always been nice to all the contestants. As far as singing is concerned, he knows his flaws and he doesn't try to act like he's better than he is. But the fact that there are better singers than him in the competition doesn't keep him from losing confidence in himself. 😃 He's definitely a great person to look up to
