Drishyam remake to release between Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Brothers
The release date of Ajay Devgn's Drishyam remake has been announced. The film will release on July 31st 2015, two weeks after Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan and two weeks before Akshay Kumar's Brothers.
Ajay signed the film after his second directorial venture, Shivaay, was delayed due to various uncontrollable reasons.
The remake of Malayalam film Drishyam will now release on the date that Dharma Productions' Brothers was first scheduled to release on. After Shahrukh Khan's FAN was postponed, Karan Johar decided to release the Akshay - Sidharth Malhotra film during the Independence Day weekend.
The Nishikant Kamat directed film stars Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Tabu and Rajat Kapoor. A smaller film titled Bangistaan', produced by Excel Entertainment, starring Pulkit Samrat and Ritesh Deshmukh, is also scheduled to release on the same day.
