Why talking about the first kiss isn't a big deal...

As per my understanding many of us was disturbed by how casually Manik talked about his first kiss with Alia and their old school days...

But I don't see any reason why that should have been something that a person can't talk about with his friends. I think everyone of us doesn't mind talking about these thing with our friends.

Whenever we discuss our school days with our friends, somehow we always end up talking about the guys/girls we had crush on, or how the library used to a place where a friend of our used to increase their knowledge in Biology and chemistry. How we used to cover for a friend of ours when they skipped some class to meet their then GF/BF...

Conversations like these are normal when a group of friends sit and talk about their school days...The awkwardness only comes if there are still something left, if someone still have feelings for the same person, if someone still looks back with regret...

And we know that isn't the case when it comes to Manik, not even Alya now. They both have moved on, fell in love with two different people...And are only friends of each other.

But they were together for seven years, that is a fact. They were in relationship with a long time, both of them have many memories together. They both have experienced, discovered and explored some territories together. They both share a past. There is no denying in that.

And non of them can deny that. Manik has moved on with Nandini and Alya is trying really hard to have a relationship with a the guy she likes...There is no point in look at their past as something wrong or something that they should be ashamed of...

Because that is what Alya feels whenever she looks at Dhruv. His insecurities are making her feel that she shouldn't look at her past with fondness. That she was wrong in feeling, doing what she did in the past with Manik.

While that isn't the case with Manik. Because his Nandini has accepted him with his past as she has accepted him with all his flaws...For a second he was worried when she has asked him if he did had a physical relationship in the past and what was his vote. But the next second she proved that she is worthy of all his unconditional love when she said that there is no point to bring their pasts when they have a beautiful present.

He has promised her his future then...

"You know what I think, that our best is yet to come..."

That was what is unique about MaNan. She didn't make him feel ashamed or guilty for his past action. She has embraced all his imperfections and he has fallen in love with her all lover again. That is why Manik see at his past without regret, guilt or shame. The only person to whom he has given the right to judge him, has made him feel that she wants his present and future and doesn't care about his past.

Now when he looks at his past, he feels nothing more than the fondness that he feels for his friend, Alya, with whom he have shared a past. The past is nothing but a story, a memory for him. And he doesn't feel wrong in having a conversation about it with his friends in the same way we don't see it as wrong...

Even though Dhruv's situation is somehow different than Nandini, he has witnessed Alya and Manik's relationship more than Nandini. He knows about it a lot more than her. Still I think what Dhruv needs is some time and a conversation with Manik, MaNan, especially Nandini...That is must. She can make him see that how he is dealing with this all is wrong...
