Nikita does not have a good command over Hindi, do you guys think this may work against her, inspite of being a good cook. I was wondering if they might eliminate her before the final, or even if she does make it to finals, they may not select her because of poor Hindi. After all the winner has to do quiet a few cooking class episodes in hindi and make appearances from time to time, speaking fluent Hindi i am sure is quiet important. Not knowing proper Hindi may even go against karishma. I am just wondering, maybe Hindi doesn't matter. What is your opinion?

I don't think its a problem. Many film stars didn't speak hindi but with classes I'm sure she'll become perfect. She isn't that bad anyway

I think it should be based on how well a person cooks not how well they speak. Because speaking a language can be taught.

I don't think her hindi is that bad. It's definetely better than Karishma's. By the way, do you guys know why Karishma had that weird accent when she speaks? I really hope Nikita doesn't get eliminated though. I think she's the strongest contestant.

You spoke of my mind..infact I had the same fear in my mind that not able to speak fluent Hindi may go against her, I know it wont be fair as contestant should be judged on the basis of only cooking skills but then when two people are almost same skilful in main criteria (cooking) of judging contestant then the other criteria (personality, command over language, after all after winning the title the winner have to anchor one whole cookery show) can be taken into consideration.

In the beginning, when they were "auditioning" the contestants, they asked Karishma about her accent. She said she picked it up because she deals with so many international clients/people through her job who have accents. :-P I personally feel it is very pretentious and that she consciously developed an accent to sound more like Western/international and less Indian maybe for some sort of imagined advantage in her professional world (maybe projecting an NRI-type image). I have cousins who live in India and did exactly that (developed a strange type of accent) to sound more American, and they sound equally ridiculous. 🤢

I too felt this, if she is staying in Abudhabi, whether channel may not give her the title. thinking she will be unavailable for the next MC season as a mentor.
Hope they judge by cooking rather than other silly things. She is a strong contestant, idea and innovation wise, taste wise and presentation.😊

If B-town actors like Katrina and others can pass not knowing hindi that well, I am pretty sure a chef can because as an actor they have to shoot for movies and as chef perhaps 1 hr episodes.
