Last Question from the article and Leslee's answer to that

Q: What do you think about the portrayal of women in Bollywood?

A: I think Bollywood movies are po*nography. I think that women are objectified. It's all part of this disease, this culture.

Yeh I have seen the documentary and I loved how it is directed. No issues except for few condescending bits and pieces. I even stated on the other thread how it shouldn't be banned...

But after the ban, she's just losing her marbles. If she made the documentary for a cause, then stand by it than insulting the entire nation. With her logic, US society is the hub of gun violence so I guess the entire nation is sick and everyone is a gunmen with a mentality to shoot any tom sick and Harry. And of course HW movies are nothing but VIOLENT for having such a society 😆

With such statements, I am glad her work is banned. Seeing her whining and crying is quite rewarding...😆

P.S: Women objectification is one of the biggest issues for the west as well from their movies to magazines to shows. Anyhoo...

Have you watched her East is East and West is West movies. They are both well balanced and humorous. Although about Pakistanis in Britain.

She maybe cray-cray now but I wouldn't dismiss her work without seeing it. Sometimes cray-cray people do make good stuff.

Only fools believed he fake show of sympathy !
What You are seeing is the true hatred for the country and its culture. Indians get used and abused but they will be last ones to realize that.
That's the reason I never fight with people who call Indians fools. 😆

Oh I never believed her sugar coated interview of how she loves India. Funny how I was discussing the same with a friend of mine how some of the bits and pieces give out weird vibes from these idiots. And she has proved me right.

- Face of the documentary someone like Frieda who gives a rat ass about India. Never seen her vocal about India or its problems.
- The expert "tipani" in the documentary yet again some British professor who knows shit about India or the girls.

Man I can go on. Bur whatever, now I don't have to be on the fense about dissing this bigot...

------

As for the documentary, I did like it, but after her statements, the same can be seen from a very different perspective. All in all, hoping all the trashing and criticism at least knocks some sense and tomorrow an Indian will be the first one to make such a documentary than letting others cash in the attention and fame...

She made sense for most part of the interview but lost it at this last question.

Sorry. Bollywood is not po*n no matter how much innuendo and vulgarity we have!

The documentary was fine.

But statements of people in media now are worse. Be it lawyers or Leslie.

Still let us not ignore her point on mindset, just due to the final answer.
