Talk about some exciting news! Fans have been waiting to see Salman and Deepika romance each other on-screen, and looks like their wish is about to come true
Ali Abbas Zafar's Sultan, which stars Salman Khan, was slated to go on floors this year. However, it will be pushed further as the Kick actor has two films pending this year, Sooraj Barjatya's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Initially, Katrina Kaif's name was doing the rounds as the film's female lead. She is an Aditya Chopra favourite, after all! But a source in the know tells us Deepika Padukone is actually the front runner for the part.
Our source adds, "Salman and Deepika were to co-star in Shuddhi, but she could not do that film. She has already done three films with Shah Rukh Khan and was keen to do a film with Salman." Though there is no official casting announcement yet, Sultan's almost in her bag!
Apparently Salman was so impressed with the script that agreed to do it on principle. A few days back when the final narration happened, Salman was mighty impressed which is why he decided to start working on this sports based film before Karan Johar's long impending dream projectShuddhi.
Well well, with Deepika almost on board as Salman's heroine, I and surely a lot of you can't wait to see this jodi on the 70mm, no?
