Just like the way anandi closed KB door, I will also close the door on BV.

Colors after the success of Udaan wants to make more serials child centric.

I am not interested in the kids stories. I just cant relate to them as grownups.

Try how much they want, they cant make BV top the trp charts.

They can only make it into like Uttaran going down and down.

Don't know much about Uttaran because I never watched that show but I do watch Udaan.
Actually that show and the little girl both feel that it is Anandi put in a different set up circumstances😛😆
That girl adorable she may be but she is nothing but Anandi remixed

Channel realised that all people who miss little Anandi and the BV of old are tuning into Udaan😆

Now the CVs of BV and the channel are all set to re invent Anandi in Nandini. I refuse to call her Nimboli😡

Don't think the CVs of BV have unrealistic ambitions of climbing to the top of TRP charts but it is sad to see the makers and the channel which redefined fiction on Indian Television with a show like Balika Vadhu stooping so low as to recycle their own stuff to recreate the magic

Nandini from what is shown looks like a mix of Anandi and Shiv and they could have put Nandini in a different situation instead of Bal Vivah and atyachar of Bal vivah

No issues if they want to prolong the show by making Nandini the lead in next generation and if they make Nandini her parents' daughter in every aspect also no problem but why give her the same kind of struggles that Anandi had to face?
They could have put her in different circumastances and show how a person with Anandi's DNA will fight to overcome those odds.

CVs lost opportunity.

--------------------

If they want to show strong Anandi - then show her tirelessly seraching for her young daughter who never gives up hope of finding her daughter even after all thses years while taking care of Amol and Shivam also helping people along the way like she has always done. That would be so much better

For me the curtains will fall when Anandi's jouney ends. Hoping that the end is near.
She is so filled with guilt over Nandini I wouldn't be surprised if she pays with her life to rescue Nandini.

Leavesandwaves , Congratulations for color change .
Expecting more robust posts from you now .
BV's leap is like a rebirth of a social reformer , now in this changing scenario , kiddy stuff is ruling the roost in a directionless path .

Curtains fell for me almost after Shiv's death.
Was later curious to know how Anandi picks up he life post Shiv and what happens to DB.

DB was thrown out eventually, but by the time it happened, the entire fizz was out and the drama became pointless. DB's exit was just as lame as her entry.

Anandi did not manage to pick her life at all. Misjudging situations, and inability to think through consequence are still her best friends.

Nothing looks promising as far as the character Anandi is concerned, and hence there is no fun watching. Even after leap, she will be the same. She will not grow. It's beyond her, to control her life.

Otherwise can a financially independent woman, who is well-educated and a renowned social worker, end up in her ex-hubby's house along with his new wife. Who likes to bring such discomfort to their lives?

-----

For me, the story was about jagya and Anandi, once they became adults. I am happy for Jagya. He is finally settled. Anandi loves tears and she will continue to embrace them.

The story was never about Jagya's kids or Anandi's kids, so Nimboli is not a reason for me to watch the show.

I still watch occasionally, but come more or less regularly on forum. It is fun to read how people still defend the tracks, creatives have very loyal allies.

Had it not been for the forum, I would have left watching this show almost a year back.
I also like to read the reactions of people and in my interest to participate in the forum, I now rely mostly on updates. I don't feel like watching.

@ TM,

Thanks for the thread.
Been Helpful in writing down my farewell post.

Even being an AnSh'ian, have never mourned Shiv's death greatly, with a hope of seeing a more practical and wise Anandi.
But ALL the tracks post his death, have only been on the contrary.

Starting from Anandi's speech on receiving the award for Shiv from CM.

I could never appreciate ANY of those tracks...even how DB's exit is handled.

The kidnap story had been just the trigger point for me to get detached from my habit.,and my realization that I have wasted so many years in watching a show, where I could not even understand same or its characters 😛

Not even the director's capability of giving some good scenes, now and then, even out of rubbish script will get me to watch the show as a loyal audience any more now.

I don't foresee any change in Anandi even after 11 years.

Why should she ? Audience who watch the show have all reasons to defend the way she is right now.

A healthy number of audience , still appreciate what is being shown., and sympathize with her ( empathize with the writing ).

It is us who are being foolish, who expect her to be some thing more as per our perspective of her ( which obviously is wrong ).
Will have to catch WU's though, as I'am a member of NL, and cannot forsake my responsibility until some one offers to take over.

And it does hurt somewhere, because, this is not how, I wanted to bid adieu to this show.

Such a well written post.
Exactly my thoughts, but a vast difference in expressing. Your post is so well articulated, while someone like me has almost turned bitter towards the show, that even articulating well has become a challenge.

It hurts big time to have wasted nearly 7 years.

@Esha,
I'am not bitter towards the show., ( am' not such a big entity to criticize such great writers and their writing ) but only laugh at my foolishness, that I have invested my time, to such extent, where the tag line is " Kache Umar ke Pakke Rishte " and the show is about child marriage 😛😆

Leave aside, Anandi, Shiv, Ds, Jagdish and Ganga.. I'am not intelligent enough to even understand the writer's pov...if he is PRO child marriage or ANTI.

Giving this tag line to each our own ( normal ) lives, where in we make fruitful relationships from our raw ( young ) years, completely makes sense to me., either it is with our parents or our child hood friends.

But arriving at this concept , thru' a child marriage, making the protagonist first suffer the ill effects of it, give her a second chance of life, then take it away from her and even take away all the support system , which that second chance gave her, ( they have never made them a support system in first place 😛 ) EXCEPT the relations she made vide the child marriage , not even making her to have HER SAY in all of this.,

It just beats my poor to average IQ level., what exactly the writer wants to prove in all of this 😕

A child marriage is not bad. Even if it does not work for you...and even if second chances in life do not work for you, Do not worry...you have the "kache umar ke pakke rishte" to support you and to fall back on ! You just need the emotional make up, selflessness, goodness and greatness as all of those characters and be brave enough to 'pick up the pieces ' as the Protagonist does every time the fate treats her harshly.

That's all I could infer., from my 'limited' understanding.

And a new chapter of a Child Bride is set to start !

Wishing same, All the very best ⭐️
