There were rumours that Anushka Sharma was approached for 'Sultan' opposite Salman Khan.

Recently, when Salman Khan was in Dubai at the launch event of a store and was asked about the ongoing Cricket World Cup down under, Salman Khan wittily remarked about the Indian Vice Captain Virat Kohli, who also happens to be in relationship with actress Anushka Sharma, that he finds him "too metrosexual and too interested in how he looks and loves to shop".

Seems like Anushka, like a true blue girlfriend, has not quite liked this statement of his as recently when, at the promotional event of her upcoming movie NH10, she was asked whether after working with Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, she would like to work with Salman Khan, the actress quickly replied, according to a report published inDNA, "Anybody would love to work with Salman. But as of now, I have three releases this year (NH 10, Bombay Velvet' and Dil Dhadakne Do') and after that I will start shooting for Karan Johar's film."

But there were rumours that the actress was approached for Sultan' opposite Salman. Anushka refuted this and said, "I have still not been approached for YRF's Sultan. I have not even spoken to Ali Abbas Zafar about the film. I don't know where these rumours started."

Another actress, who got a second lease of life in Bollywood because of Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez is said to have been in talks for Karan Johar's magnum opus Shuddhi', as the makers haven't yet zeroed in any actress for the movie.

Salman and Jacqueline have earlier worked together in the 2014 blockbuster Kick'.
