Who is mentoring the contestants??

In all other singing competitions like SaReGaMaPa, VoiceOfIndia, and even American Idol, judges actually work with the contestants and mentor them behind the scenes. If you notice the difference in the quality of singing at the beginning of the shows and by the end of it, there is always a remarkable improvement. But in Indian Idol, there is some no-name music director working with them behind the scenes and the quality of singing pretty much stays the same. It improves by gaining experience and hearing judges' comments but I think they should have special guests coming every week and mentoring them before their performance behind the scenes just like in American Idol. This way all the contestants get different opinions and overall become better versatile singers. What do you guys think?

I think they showed those 2 people in one of the Robaroos. Don't know how good they are though.

True! Whoever they are, probably not good enough for Sony to freely broadcast it. Having different respectable mentors every week will not only help the contestants, but will also help show's TRPs. I mean just imagine Mr. A. R. Rehman coming on the show and mentoring the kids behind the scenes and them singing his songs in the Galas. Man I'm getting goosebumps just by thinking about it.😊

They deserve better mentors. At this platform there should be improvement but we hear the same or below par renditions.

yea I think dey need experienced mentors dat actually help each of dem individually to improve der flaws. All i noe is dat dey hav a couple of hour rehearsals wid the music director...n der is also dis guy wich dey showed in Rubaroo but dunt remember his name..I dunt think dats enuf training for dem. Plus dey spent so much of der time wid promos, fever n advertising II..which totally limits der time in practising...no wonder the SRGMP contestants r soo much better (no offense) 😳

and same thing with svoi, you can see the contestants improving day by day (priyani and abhaas). dont get me wrong, i think amit and emon are brilliant but it won't hurt em to get some decent mentoring

do you think it is because of hesitancy from Sony's part or is it because celebrities in Bollywood don't have big enough heart??
