SRK parts ways with Vishal-Shekhar, is Yo Yo Honey Singh the reason?

Shah Rukh Khan's next film will apparently have Pritam scoring the background music. The movie in question is Rohit Shetty's next which will also feature Varun Dhawan. While Vishal-Shekhar have always been SRK's favourite composers, this time the latter has decided to team up with Pritam. While talking to a leading tabloid, a source said, "An announcement will be made only when the film rolls next month, but Pritam is definitely scoring the music. Things had gone sour between Vishal-Shekhar and Shah Rukh in the past over certain incidents, which may have led the makers to collaborate with Pritam."

Frankly, I am not surprised hearing this piece of information. In fact, Shah Rukh's fallout with Vishal-Shekhar was inevitable courtesy a certain Yo Yo Honey Singh. Let's jog your memory a bit. Remember how Honey Singh became a overnight sensation because of his Lungi Dance song featuring SRK and Deepika Padukone? Though Vishal-Shekhar composed the music for Shetty's Chennai Express, the Punjabi rapper hogged away all the limelight because of his Lungi dance song. But that wasn't the problem. Well, the composer duo were unaware about Singh being brought on board till his song was recorded. This obviously didn't go down well with Vishal and Shekhar who then made it quite clear to Shah Rukh that they won't collaborate with him for Happy New Year if Honey Singh is hired for the project.

The fan actor kept his promise and Yo Yo Honey Singh was not a part of Happy New Year. However, things turned ugly when SRK got the Punjabi rapper to go with him on SLAM! The Tour for prompting Happy New Year. And that was the nail in the coffin. Khan went back on his word and now his association with Vishal-Shekhar is over!
