'Hope YHM Creatives Stop Making Character Bichari' -Mihika

In a free and frank chat with Telly tadka Mihika Verma of Ye Hai Mohabbatein admitted that post the shift to 7.30 pm the creatives had made some changes to the story line, "We become massy, and more melodramatic but I guess that is the need of the slot. The entire track where my character has become self-sacrificing and leaves Mihir (Raj Singh Arora) for Ashok (Sangram Singh), is one clear example of the same.

"At first I was hesitant will the viewers accept such a drastic change? But they did and our rising TRP (number #2 show this week) are a clear indication of the same. Having said that Ekta Kapoor still has maintained the uniqueness of the show, we are still much better then other massy dramas which have even gone on to introduce super natural elements." "Here I will admit that at first even we did go a bit overboard with our attempts to bring in regular audiences in some tracks, but soon we realized that people tune in to our show for our normal flavor. Our numbers actually dropped as a result. Hence now we have come to a proper balance of what makes show tick and the demands of the 7.30 slot, which is high drama. The move to 7.30 pm was well thought move by the channel as lets face we could not really grow at 11 pm and the concept is such that we will be doing injustice to it by restricting it's potential."

Looking ahead Mihika hopes that creative's stop making her namesake character bechari, and she goes back to Mihir. We already have an effective love triangle between Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi), Raman (Karan Patel )and Shagun (Anita Hassanandani) so don't need more rona dhona." In closing this pretty girl is very thankful to Star Plus and Balaji for giving her this role." I will forever remain indebted to Ekta for she is my mentor. This role has been a game changer in my life. One big show catapults to you new heights. I guess my previous shows(Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil,Kitani Mohabbat Hai) were the preparatory zone."

She also feels that the cast and crew of this show are a superb gang, "Divyanka is very sweet and Karan is a Mihika Verma buddy. I also have a great equation with my co-star Raj. You know it was really funny when someone suggested that I am having an affair with Raj. I stay away from gossip and when anyone asks me I just say all are my friends and I don't interfere in any one's life."
