Don't get me wrong, I love every single person involved in the project. But I don't understand why so much hype for the movie?
1) Its Anurag's Kashyap movie- He is a director which appeals to a particular set of audience. Even after making terrific movies like Black Friday, Gulaal, etc he isn't considered an audience puller because those flopped.
2) Noir- Other than couple of films hardly any films have got success in this category in India.
3) Karan Johar as villian- Are people really wanting to see this? The guy is famous as a director and a host. Do people really want to see how he acts?
4) Ranbir not happy with the film
Other than Ranbir kapoor returning after a big gap and anushka's recent blockbuster I can't see why this would appeal to mass audience.
