PART 10

Friends.. dey are for life.. dey'll not be like lovers but like well-wishers.. They form a thin line between edges of care and love.. She two had one in her life.. At the edge of care... her friend..No..No best friend.. Keeping the idea of cursing herself aside she moved out of her house..to rephrase things between them..he was no wrong when he said "you've been so away.. you don't remember my birthday"... she hated herself for not being there with her best friend on his day..

She carried the best chocolate cake from Aarush's favorite cakemania shops.. and smiled on already anticipated victory of hers... she knew where he could be.. when he wud be sad he used to be there only.. And YUP!! There he was... sitting close to a brutally old tree on a wooden sofa near the church..

"I should be killed right...??" she whispered though as heavily to at least let him hear..

"Aarush!!... wont u forgive me.. I mean.. it was my mistake I know.. But pleaaasheee. Iiim sorrryyy???" she thought being cute cud perhaps help her..

"I.. kept... waiting... fo..r u... whole day.." he turned his face towards her at last but the site did scared sanyukta now.. his eyes were red..as if.. as if he had been crying for so long.. his voice trembled still in manner the way it did during their phone conversation..

"Aarush!! U... I really hurt u right..?? lets not waste the time.. we still have a few minutes for a new day.. common..!!" she had not expected him to be hurt this way... maybe that's why she was not feeling able to behave the way he wanted her to..

Amidst the already created tension between them aarush's sudden hug confused sanyukta strongly.. she stroked his back at last...

"Aarush tumhara favourite cake hai common cut na jaldi.." she parted to feel his weirdly tightening cage around her..she cud sense it wasn't same with him what she felt it was..

Smiling sumtime at him with a sign of confusion on her face she was trying to make things look as normal as they should be between two best friends.. but she definitely was missing sumthing which only AARUSH was aware of...

"SANYUKTA... u matter a lot to me..it was always u to be with me at each significant moment of my life.. and u've been here today too... I thought I don't matter to u dat way... but u proved me wrong.. u came here at the mid of the night.." it all looked formally informal to her at the second...she kept on smiling at his statements when he demanded for sumthing from her..

" sanyukta!!! I wanted.. to say something... do you.. I mean.. c..can you please close ur eyes for a moment..??"

"Aarush..??... haan.. but..??" she didn't know wat he was seeking for.. but she had to agree wid the b'day boy..

"Ohkeyy!!" she sumwhere sighed for no reasons.. as she wasn't much sure of her friend's unknown feelings.. She didn't know dat unlike HER, Aarush was no more AT THE EDGE OF CARE BUT HAD CROSSED THAT THIN LINE TO REACH TO THE EDGE OF LOVE...

He was lost in her beauty.. he kept staring at her for a while, his eyes scanning her features.. he so wanted this time to stuck at its place..and finally Reducing the gap between their bodies as he leaned forward for a kiss she smiled confusedly wid her eyes closed.. "Aarush!! Kya kehna chahte ho?? Let me open my eyes na..??.. tum aise bhi to keh sakte ho..??"...

It was just a few inches from her lips when aarush shrilled with extreme pain at the back of his head..which made sanyukta frighten and freez at her place..

"HHAAARUSHH!!... k..kon ho tum log.. leave him.. I said leave him for God sake.. Aarruuush!!.." she yelled in fear... her hands trying to grab her falling friend...while her efforts seemed to be failing as she was held firmly at her hands... in a matter of seconds the silence was reannounced in the area... aarush was badly hit with a rode on his head and was lying uncounscious both under the effect of already consumed alcohol in his veins as well as the rode on his head.. And there stood sanyukta with her eyes wide open.. tears made their way..

"HE... WANTED TO SAY SOMETHING...YE... YE SAB...t..tum log kon ho tum??..kyu mara use.. and leave me.. I said leave me..." she struggled in the hold of those MEN with black colored scarfs covering their faces allowing their eyes to be visible to the victims... knowing that she cud create problems for them one of the goon put a white colored cloth in her mouth and before dragging her to the jungle side she was DRUGGGED at her brachial vein with a STRONG SEDATIVE...

PRECAP:-AS she dig her back more into his chest while resting her head on his right shoulder, his eyes fell on a bunch of water droplets on her wet face and he lost himself in that droplet which was already struggling to leave the hair flicks resting on her lips.. "ST..OP STARING AT ME.. U GHOST..!!" she teased him smilingly in a sleepy tone...BUT IT SURELY MADE HIM AMAZED THAT THOUGH WITH CLOSED EYES SHE CUD FEEL HIS GAZE ON HER...
