Post her marriage we do have to take note of the fact that she was starting with a clean slate with a completely new family and new environment.
She has been in Udaipur for how long? two + years

She has been in Jaitser for better part of her life.

They did show her taking ti life in the city in her own way. Just because she didn't change from Gaghras to sarees like her MILs wear that doesn't mean she didn't take to city life she learnt to do a lot of things that she didn;t know when she was living in Haweli.
In fact there is a lot of difference between the Anandi who entered Shekhar family and the current Anandi. I am not talking about face change here but her priorities the way
I personally don't see why she need to change her attire .Attire is part of personality. It all depends on how she carries herself. No where had she ever given that she is so called village girl despite growing up in a village. Attire I mean her sticking to her traditional style of dressing - the rest is the dress designer's fault .

The Anandi who talked about Desi nushkas now talks about seeing a doctor or consulting a psychologist for Sanchi and the Anandi who didn't know preparing anything beyond Rajathani food prepares pasta for her son like so many urban moms do.
Learning driving she did take a long time to get around doing but so do lot of so called city bred girls.

There was Gauri too who grew up in a village just like Anandi did the things there is a lot of difference in the way both adapted the life style that a city offers.
-----------
Till Shiv died she had been a normal bahu and wife content with what she has .So why find fault with that ?
Yes she left a life she made for herself in Jaitser and she started making alife for herself in Shiv's home making his home her home his family as her family. She started from scratch.
Now Shiv died leaving her with two small kids and the next pahes of her life has just started and people already are complaing about her?
If I remember it took her several jolts to make her a sarpanch and it is obviously going to take that many jolts to make something out of her life and an identity for herself which she gave up when she married SHiv.

I think this forum is harsh on Anandi and judgemental .If Shiv had been there in Anandi's place during Amol's birth trauma he would have reacted the same way as Anandi did but people would have cried along with him but it is Anandi they find faults in her decision'

Is it Anandi's duty to verify the claims made by the parents or is it the duty of the orphanage? They obviously verified the claims before they called Anandi and informed her about Amol's parents. By the time Anandi came into picture verification has already been done and the inefficiency of the orphange has been exposed.
The question in front of her is not a legal question but an emotional issue.

Why accuse Anandi that she doesn't think? Do the viewers themselves think what they are trying to show through the story?

Just because Anandi was not shown working in Bhaili that doesn't mean she has not worked.
The makers and the channel are there to make money along with telling the story.
The few people who come to these online forums may be interested in seeing Anandi doing something with her life but the people who bring the channel business are the ones who like to see Anandi as a wife bahu and mother more than anything else.So obviously instead of changing the story they gave more footage to family drama less footage to her professional life.

Why blame the CVs? There are people in this very forum who thought Bhaili tracks are not interesting.

Agree with you, cent per cent.

You will either
1. watch with some expectations or
2. will accept and find reason in what ever they show / want to show or
3. just watch it nonchalantly , becoz its become a part of your TV viewing cycle., ( w/o any expectations )
4. be so disappointed as your expectations are not being met and come to a point that you go in for your remote to either switch off your TV or find any other / show or any other avocation to fill in that leisure time of yours..

Yes I agree. I chose to watch BV after many years of quitting daily soaps on TV, because BV was unique.
Now I do resort to only WUs sometimes, just to see how the story progresses, but BV isn't exactly gripping.

The remote will be always be in my hand, but I also have access to online forums like IF where I can voice my opinion. And I am taking that opportunity, as I am also one section of viewership.

On a larger scale BV is the best show, and characters like Shiv, Anandi, Jagya, Dsa and Bhairon are very unique that TV industry has ever come up with. so all credits to makers there.

But yes there are disappointments. The reason is that world has changed, but daily soaps haven't. Today's young working women / mothers have out grown the saas-bahu saga. Their own saas and all other women in their surrounding are not as nosy. People are becoming easy with each other, that's why one could connect with Sumitra or Ira / meenu so easily.

So my point is, when world has moved and embraced freedom, why not the makers. Why are they hell bent on showing characters like DB, brought out from cold-store. Or why have they limited Anandi's growth?

Why can't Anandi be the voice of today's modern working woman, when she has / had a supporting husband and in-laws like most working women do? Why can't she be smart and practical like most educated women are? Why can't she be more relative?

The show started with traditional minds like DSa and told us all about that section of society. Now when the show has progressed, why can't DSa's of the world get replaced by corporate politics, business challenges, social problems, differences of opinion on professional front, small time clashes between hubby wife on an intellectual level?

It's time the TV world also changes. For almost 20-25 years viewers have seen only social drama and kitchen politics. When our own societies have grown then why not makers?

@Esha,
All your concerns are correct., per me, as a viewer who share your thoughts on most points.
But it just looks like, the expectations few of us had / having are not in a right place.

Its becoming apparent that few of us are not in sync with writer's thinking., any more.

And when a time as such comes, believe me, when I say, that it is much much peaceful to just LET GO.

And for the loyalty that we still hold for the show, may be come back to it on a passionate note, if at all we see a progression that may appeal to us.

From what was shown Anandi was either busy in Jagya's issue or Saanchi's or eventually SaJaGa. Then she was busy in working on Shiv's indentity, and later in adopting Amol and in looking after him.

In between whenever she got time, she moved from Jaitser to KB and Vice versa or kept on carrying trays from one end of the house to another. In doing all this, she was always so busy and so occupied that in her position, a real-life woman would barely get time to think about her work and work place, let alone flourishing it.

So if I sit down to think, how Anandi achieved all this, I can only say she has super natural powers.

----
I totally respect and applaud Anandi for the way she handled her education and career post Jagya and pre-marriage.

All credits to her hardwork, even if BS and DSa were supporting her.

If we are talking about Anandi's first phase of coming out of chrysalis after being dumped by J even then her education track was always in the background - there were only few scenes in the beginning showing her choice of subject for bachelor's degree and after that she was never relly shown with books. She was busy doing tel massage going to school and coming back cooking and in between few tracks like that dayan lady track and the mother of all tracks at that time Basant Gehna Nandu and their way of handling Nandu.
Anandi was never actually shown studying one fine day we got the news that she passed BA with flying colors just like the way we never actually got to see her working in Bhaili but got to know that it is doing a lot good for those women all thanks to Anandi's efforts.
Family drama with Singhs was in the foreground Anandi's empowerment or rather her doing the things that she wanted for herself in the background.
Now the things that she wanted to do are taking care of her husband spending quality time with him and her Bhaili - they are in the background but in the foreground it is family drama of Shekhars and a few tracks outside of KB here and there.
Before pointing out how Anandi doesn't think rationally we also should look at what has been shown in the show with a very objective view.

I agree, if we think rationally - the show was not that good even before. Anandi was elected sarpanch not because she was the best choice - but because the then sarpanch himself came and requested DS (that they think Anandi should be the choice of next sarpanch). What she did as sarpanch was also like what she is doing in Bhaili - people talk about it highly, but hardly any real scenario shown. She got award for her work - but did we see any changes in Jaitsar? Except for her teaching (adult education classes were really good) - I cannot connect with sarpanch Anandi. After Shiv came - she was mostly is Shiv's office - but sarpanchs do not have to go to Collector's office that frequently. They have their own well defined area of work. For creatives - panhayat is a mix of Panchayati Raj system and khap panchayat - so panchayat decided about the fate of Jagya instead of sending him to police (panchayats do not have law & order in their hands). And the person who was sarpanch when Anandi was 9 years old is still sarpanch of Jaitsar - highly improbable in panchayati Raj system. Creatives just make other characters praise Anandi's (or Jagya or any other lead) work but hardly show actual work - they concentrate only on family drama.

They could have ended the show with shiv-anandi and ganga-jagya marriage. There was nothing interesting to watch after that.
I dont think there is any issue which is not covered by this show. Now they are just repeating everything.

Actors are not interested and I dont even know where most of the people disappeared. Every month there is one replacement. Its not so easy to connect with new faces.

I guess their main motive is to unite jagya-anandi. Shiv is no more and I wont be suprised if ganga disappears, die or turn negative overnight.

I agree this show is not going in any proper direction.

Esha - Anandi is representing today's woman in some aspects, she is brave and multi-tasks, is very enterprising with excellent communciation skills, can handle crisis situations well, managing an NGO on her own, again established from scratch after Anup duped her, had the courage to adopt a kid. So she does have this never give up attitude.

Showing leads as being practical is too much to expect in serials 😊, the leads will mostly tend to think from heart, otherwise the show wouldn't run for years.

I don't mind some drama, and don't have huge expectations, but what I want to see eventually is a happy Anandi, well settled on both professional and personal fronts. She needn't touch the skies of success but should get everything that she deserves and ever desired for. Tomorrow, when I remember BV, I should have fond memories of a courageous Anandi. As long as CVs can end the show on that note, I am still okay.

This is going no where and not sure how many more "only-for-the-sake-of-it" moral statements will they show at the end of each episode. They don't make sense anymore. Everything has been said and done.

I'm happy that I've permanently deleted Balika Vadhu recording schedule from my Tata Sky. I'm no more tempted to watch this crap now. Instead, I'm now following the older episodes on Rishtey. Feel so nostalgic and it's a pleasure of watch those. 😊 Currently Sugna's marriage track is going on, and still many more good ones to come up.

Those past episodes had touched the hearts of the viewers. I fondly remember even Shyam's parents and their good hearted bhabhi.
