I think he is just protecting Alvira like any rational person would considering she just almost died. The cop should start his questioning after she is well rather than going on rampage. Sahir obviously cares & respects Alvira so he is just telling Rathore to back off a bit. I don't think there was anything more in this scene than Sahir being a courteous & caring son.

Exactly my thought he is not afraid to say Alvira is not his mom but after to stand alone and say he doesn't have any identity ...he doesn't have a family ...
Identity crisis is a biggest crisis for an individual in personal level .More than respect or love it's insecurity which plays here in sahir's mind .I doubt his real identity is hidden from him.

It's a possibility...for sure.
They really should have revealed atleast a little bit about the past...everything is a mystery...we don't even know which ones to take at face value now!And the cop should not have badgered Alvira like that in the first place! That was nonsense!

i have felt the same too.. that is why after being snubbed a lot of times, he still kept serving the family because he thinks that he is alone and he needs them more than that off how much he spends over them.. and i also believe that Alvira is aware of Sahir's thought process, she knows that he will always need the family to call them his own and thus since the first episode she has been very effectively making him fulfill his orders.. for example gifting paak daman during eid, and then keeping arzoo as an employee and many other stuffs.
