Hi to everybody on Ashoka forum 😃

What a first episode! 👏
There is something about historicals
The aura - the costumes - the living life on a grand scale - the larger than life characters - the plotting & counter plotting!

I liked the buskashi kinda scene. Everything seems on very grand scale.

If anybody can clear this confusion for me? Bindusara is not in Magadh & Chanakya goes to meet him to warn him - word gets back to Helena & Justin & they meet Selucus, go back to Magadh - have "all the who sits on throne drama" and in all this time nobody takes Bindusara inside some hut! It must have taken sometime atleast a day or more right? Why is he shown lying on the rocks all the while?!

They are going at such dizzy pace! Tomorrow Ashoka will be born & even become 12-13 years old! I hope they slow down a little.

Wasn't Chankya a very influential person in Magadh empire, how can they discuss about Justin without his presence? Nobody remembers & thinks about him?

Really like Pallavi S & Sameer D as Ashoka's parents. I am huge fan of Sidhharth Nigam - tomorrow he makes an entry 😃

Hiee maddy...happy to see u here... m very much confused wid d names of d characters...and abt the serial it was gud and set...costume everything...and it was jaisalmer fort ryt...waiting for siddharth Nigam ' s entry...action 😎

maddy first episode needs👏i liked the direction execution of scenes,costumes,set,acting evrythng.. i lik sid too waiting for his entry😳all actors r gudd😳

i liked first buzkashi kind of scene 😳cudnt understand abt noor and khurasan ..who r they??noor is pretty...chanakya char dint impress me mucch as i expected more from hm from wat i read... helen justin makes assaination attempt on bindusara🥱subhadrangi saved him n both gets marry... yes same doubt how cme they took decision without chanakya?while all that throne drama happens stil bindusara was unconscious at same place near waterfalls 😆doesnt khurasan noor n others lik chanakya??

Even I don't know much about Ashoka so it is going to be very interesting. Not historical info - what I know if Chanakya was adviser/guru of Chandragupta & he was instrumental in his becoming king. Chandragupta had defeated Selucus (of Alexander's army) and married his daughter Helena. Her son Justin is step-brother of Bindusara. Bindusara's first son Sushim was his appointed heir. All this is from my very brief general knowledge - anybody feel free to correct if I am wrong.

I read the shooting is going on at Karjat - studio of Nitin Desai - but some shooting also taking place on locations.

Me too big fan of Sidhharth after MK 😃

To be honest, my favorite scene was when those pretty ladies were plucking flowers in the forest! Such an ambience it created! The natural locations were utterly beautiful and so was the palace!
BTW, Chanakya's role is really confusing me a little. 😕 He is supposed to have such a strong and radiant character.
Anyways, I could not have been able to wait for the little Ashoka to pop on our screens! So the pace is not a problem ateast for me. 😊
P.S. I want to see more of Bindusara and Dharma's scene!!!!! Beautiful couple they make.

agree but when writers or creative kills history lol u feel like killing them or saying no historical again
but end up watching a historical again

Hello Maddy. New place, old friends. 😆

What a great start to the serial. It was such a great watching experience. Great costumes, great sets, and wonderful actors. I really liked Pallavi as Ashokas mother. And today's locales were AMAZING.

Now whether the pace is too fast or not, we will only get to know when Ashoka comes into the picture. I am really keen on seeing how they continue with the serial, does the serial have finite episodes, or is it the 'we'll cross that bridge when we come there' types. 😕 But whatever it is, it was a brilliant episode. Serials usually fail to deliver in the first episode, and only catch pace later, but Ashoka has started with a BANG.

The episode was great, and my doubts are along the same lines as yours. I am very confused, when Chanakya stopped Bindusara, was it in Magadh or some where else? And about Bindusara lying on that rock, I think they weren't going int he same time frame on both sides. 😕

Hoping for the best and waiting for Siddarth's entry. 😎

Hi Bhavs 😃 Wonderful first episode with such breath taking speed! Hope they slow down a bit. Loved the sets, costumes.

What I understood is Khurasan is also a king & by this marriage Bindusara will strengthen Magadh - get the backing of Khurasan's army. Chanakya is not happy about it cos he suspects Khurasan. By marrying Noor - Bindusara hopes to get permanent backing of Khurasan.

I guess Bindusara does not need Chanakya's permission to marry - he is king afterall can marry whoever he wants! I guess Chanakya is only political adviser!

Line in bold - LOL could they not take him inside the hut? Atleast they showed Subhadrangi in different clothes! To indicate days have passed I suppose.
