see now milind is a wounded tiger and so many around him r provoking him,,,,,and he was angry and he is venting his anger on prachi as he is emotionally so close to her ,,,,,he will come back to his senses and leave prachi,,,,,,he never stop to such low level,,,,definetly he will control himself and realise his mistake and backs off and even ask prachi to forgive him.

I find that its a bad message that is given out to the society too...RAPE is an act of violence and aggressive domination against somone's will..The thought of love after rape with the abuser creeps the hell out of me.In real life ,I believe it will never happen and it shouldnt happen. The abuser should face the law .As if there aren't problems in the society, the media brings in new msgs like the one in KDMH... Balaji is hopeless......

Dearest Anju and Shali:

I completely agree with you 110%. I cannot understand how the creatives think they can ever show protagonists committing rape. I have two American friends who were raped, and they will tell you that they cannot even bear the thought of their rapists. I feel so badly for them, and they still cry about it after so many years. I wish to God that nobody should ever suffer through it.

Anju, even I watched the show Kkoi Dil Mein Hai, and I was thoroughly disgusted. The storyline went to hell after the rape, and I felt Arjun never redeemed himself. And what I feel the worst about is that most people do not realize that it is not only a violation of body but basic humanity and scars the soul of the woman in question. It is all round a sad affair, one not to be treated lightly.

And Shali, I understand your point and only wish that you could speak to most of the families in India who truly accept the illogic that marrying their daughters off to their rapists would save their honor; the film Raja Ki Ayegee Baraat was a case in point. And what I really hate about such plots is that it only shows the respect we accord women in a patriarchal society, which is not saying much. I have never understood why societies are hell-bent on punishing the women for getting raped rather than the perpetrators of the act. Honestly, the whole attitude of society leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

India is bad enough with its backward views, but America is no better! In court rooms, American lawyers believe it is important to ask the females what dress were they wearing, did they encourage their perpetrator by being coy, if they were drinking, and other nonsense meant to paint the woman as little better than a prostitute who invited rape. Disgusting! I agree with Anju. As you said Anju, rapists should be prosecuted by law! No exceptions, please...

Sincerely,

Ek Umeed 😊
