Balikavadhu is by its title heroine centric but the males like Bhairon, Basant, Shyam, Jagya and Shiv made their presence felt and made this a wholesome.

Shiv and anandi complimented each other and Shiv had become an integral part of the show than just a supporting husband with his own space and in very few serials this happens. Sometimes I was tempted to name this serial as Collector Saab instead of Balika Vadhu.

They could kill only the male lead and make the female lead cry and feel the void. Not the other way.

Now coming to the economics. Shiv was earning and I think he was the main breadwinner. Now how will they cope with so many mouths to feed and taken care of? Will Anandi start working for salary? Then who will take care of her kids? Ira and Meenu? Will Mahi come back and take responsibility of the family?

So many questions.

Shekhars have ancestral property.. Daddu and Anup must be getting pension.
Plus Alok has a business too.. Not commenting on Anup's business

Anandi should also get a pension. I am not sure how does it work in government sectors, but private sector employees are protected by life insurances, which basically helps their families to take care of financial needs in case of any unfortunate event. That should be the case for Shiv too.

Anandi probably never looked at Bhaili as profit making business, but she can use some earning from it for her kids if needed..

Honestly speaking they never showed who was the main breadwinner of Shekhar family...Daddu said they were already rich family and Shiv works for passion and not money...Alok has shown to have his own business and Daddu gets his pension...Anup already has pension plus his business but how they all divided their income is yet unknown.
As Shiv was a Govt. officer there will be pension which will be given to Anandi and hopefully his family will also get some cash as prize for Shiv's bravery but if Anandi wants to be independent i do think she needs to start earning from her NGO or do something else too because Govt. officer's pension is enough to take care of three kids and give them good wealthy future like Shiv used to...Anandi need not share her income or Shiv's pension with other family members...they all are working and earning well and Daddu already gets his pension and share from his sons...Anandi will have three kids to take care of so she cannot let whole family depend on her income.

P.S Your questions are sensible but hold no meaning in BV...in BV the only money trouble i saw was with Jagya-Gauri...even Ganga was able to do well by living in good house and taking care of Mannu just with a job of nurse...both Singhs and Shekhars were rich families from very start...Shiv was able to make a huge farmhouse at such early age even though his only source of income was his job

She will get some pension and also profident fund if both are allowed. Government may even confer some honour on Shiv.

But they will lose some perks and status of belonging to Collector's family.

Let us see how the cvs are going to handle these issues.

Anandi may get some employment in the Collector's office according to her qualifications at some junior level . It will be somewhat awkward to work under some other Collector.

I don't think you can get any job under Collector's office just by your qualification...even a job of P.A needs to earned by competitive exams which obviously CVs never bothered to show

I think on compassionate grounds, anandi will get some good job in the Collectorate. In nationalised banks I have seen one dependent getting a job.

As Shiv died a maryr's death, Anandi will get some good position. In UP, a high ranking police Officer died while discharging his duty and his wife got the same position after his death. It happened last year and it was allover the news channels.

I hope Shiv's death will unite Anup and Alok.

Daddu got attacks when his kids fought. Strangely Daddu did not get heart attack when Shiv died.
