With a repertoire of films that include Oscar-winning Hollywood movies like Life of Pi' and critically acclaimed Indian ones like Paan Singh Tomar', Irrfan Khan never disappoints. Here is a look at his upcoming projects that have us excited.

1. Tumbad

There is a lot of hush-hush surrounding this upcoming mystery. Also starring Sohum Shah of Ship of Theseus' fame, the movie is a dark period thriller set in colonial India with elements of fantasy and is being directed by debutant Rahi Anil Barve. Not much has been revealed about the roles as the makers are keeping the details under tight wrap, but whatever portions of it were screened at the NFDC Film Bazaar in Goa earned acknowledgements of being a visual masterpiece'.

2. Piku

One of the most-awaited movies this year is Shoojit Sircar's Piku' - and Irrfan Khan romancing Deepika Padukone in this comedy drama is certainly something fresh to look forward to. Although Irrfan Khan is just a supporting actor in the movie - the main plot of which centers on the father-daughter relationship between Piku (Padukone) and her Bangali bhodrolok' dad (Amitabh Bachchan), we cannot wait to see this unlikely pair's chemistry when the movie releases on April 30.

3. Jurassic World

After Life of Pi', Irrfan Khan's next Hollywood venture is Jurassic World' - where he plays the character of Simon Masrani, the flamboyant owner of the dinosaur theme park where all the action of the movie takes place, Jurassic World. The movie will release on June 12.

4. The Hustle, The Flow, The Verdict

A Hollywood mystery thriller based on John Andrews' novel, it was originally called Who Shot The Sheriff?' The movie, which will also star Rosario Dawson, Kevin Hart, Rihanna and Jennifer Hudson, is being directed by Marcus Raboy who is famous for directing many music videos including Smooth' by Santa and What The Hell' by Avril Lavigne.

5. Durga Rani Singh

Durga Rani Singh' is going to be Sujoy Ghosh's next directorial venture after Kahaani' in 2012. Irrfan Khan is all set to play the titular character in this thriller. After Vidya Balan, Kangana Ranaut and Kareena Kapoor turned down the offer to be part of the cast, Shilpa Shukla of B.A. Pass' fame has been signed on. The movie is a fast-paced, offbeat flick about a teenaged paralyzed girl and the struggles her mother has to go through.
