I am a silent reader of this forum. The ripples that were created in my mind after the death news of ShivrajShekar is the reason for this post.
The CVS is now saying anandi needs jhatka to move on in her life.To make her show moving in professional life they are killing SRS. Please can anyone tell me, where was the Jhatka when she started the school in Jaitsar, fought for Asha against the godman, became the sarpanch, fought against Gulli's and Jyothi's child marriage, when she fought for the rights for the old lady from Mumbai, against child labor and against the child trafficking. According to the character of Anandi, whenever injustice happens in front of her eyes, she cannot tolerate. She does not need a Jhatka to fight. She cannot tolerate injustice in any form, whether it is concerned with her life or not. If she finds injustice, eventhough the whole family, or world, or even shiv stands against her, she will fight (this we have seen in the case where she went to the court and spoke in favour of Jagya). So, to move her life professionally, is it necessary that SRS needs to be killed? Will Anandi not take up any cause to work for the society when she sees Injustice? If they say she needs Jhatka to move in her life, it is absurd. She started the school, completed her tenth exam, even when she was happily living in Badi haveli with jagya.
Also, if CVS aim to break the record in March, and if Sid is not willing to play the father of another 2 kids and they want to show Anandi moving in her life professionally, and make Anandi witness some tragedies and take some more responsibilities so that her NGO spreads its hands and she not only serves the people of Udaipur but also serve other states/cities too? why cant they make the whole family support her inthis venture? They can take some months leap and could show that Anandi is successful in her cause and with her two kids. They could nominate her for some award, may be woman of the year or something and they could have concluded with her getting the award, in the presence of shiv, holding their two little kids. An happy family picture would have concluded the end of BV.
If the CVS are hell bent on showing the death of shiv and anandi being a widow, they are contradicting their own story. Is it correct to follow all the superstitions then - Has Dadisa applying mehendi had led anandi to this state? Has meeting Shiv on her haldi has led anandi to this state? Is anandi wrong, because she wanted allthe vidhwas to apply mehendi on her hands? has all these abhashaguns has led anadi to this state where she could not even celebrate her second anniversary with Shiv? Are BV CVS stating that going against laws and traditions can land you in trouble? If they will be showing anandi not remmarying, what logic she had while convincing Gehna for remmarriage? Was Gehna not leading a content life with basant then? If the memories are enough for anandi to upbring her kids, why did not she leave Gehna like that then? why was she happy for her? Was all that false? Gehna was starting to live a life on her own with her two kids and managing the business, then why did they convince her for remarriage? So are CVS propogating the medssage that Anandi who live in the memories of shiv is much pure that Gehna, Ganga and whoever had remarried?
Also the important event of Anandis life - would have been when sumitra said that she need not apply sindoor in the name of Jagya - thats when she became the beti of the house - the other important event where you could a well blissful and contented Anandi was Shiv filled her maang with sindoor. Why does the CVS want to snatch anandi of her blissfullness and contentment? There is no meaning for these if she becomes a widow again. if some people say that, anandi will be happy if she moves on professionally and thats what they wanted to see and if the writers feel that Anandi's victory would be when she moves into professional life and career, I think they are wrong. If they could remember her dream, eventhough she got an award and recognition, she ran with the award searching Jagya. thats when she fell and she saw shiv's face for the first time in her dream. although she moves professionally, shee will be incomplete without Shiv. Her heart would long for shiv and search Shivs presence how far she can succeed professionally. So the characters' victory according to me lies in Anandi being content both professionally and in family, which cannot happen without Shiv.
if people are worried about bread and butter of people, the CVS can start a new show and they can show the trials and tribulations of a widow raising her kids and making a career for herself, which I believe they have already shown in NBHTKK. If they want to continue BV and show the problems Anandi is facing, please CVS replace shiv. You have replaced your main lead itself and so replacing Shiv would not be a big deal for you. you have replaced Anandi, Ganga , twice so replacing shiv would not be a big deal for you. then you can show the problems that Anandi and Shiv are facing in raising the kids like education, bad company, drugs, ...So please do not kill Shiv and ruin the life of Anandi. This is not the jhatka but the biggest punishment you are giving to Anandi. Thanks and sorry for the long post.
No killing SRS please 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

DB is a mean nasty creature(I find it hard to recognize her as a human) who has ulterior motives. so what she thinks or says about anandi or anyone else does not matter (at least to me).

Coming to this DS participating in anandi , Gehna occasions - thanks to the members who mentioned it. It is a very valid point.

- why did the CV's make a widow like DS participate in such things?
because they wanted to convey to the conservative (not necessarily bad people like DB) people that these kind of superstitions are baseless and will never really harm people. When they go against beliefs and show something it becomes their responsibility to prove it. in this case they failed by causing unnatural sudden deaths to both anandi and Gehna's husbands. If I were a conservative village woman who tried to be a little open on seeing widow participation in such occasions, now I would say- look at theunnatural sudden deaths happening in their families? No wonder we have these customs and traditions to follow.

Having one unnatural death is still ok. But two in a row could mean something. killing Shiv this way is just 👎🏼

If Anop can be brought back from the land of dead to make people's lives miserable surely Shiv can be brought back from the land of dead to fill Anandi's life with happiness all over again.
While we are all very unhappy with this turn the story has taken and we all want the story to be changed I still don't agree with this argument that CVs are promoting superstitions by killing off Shiv . The is simply not true.

What is true is the misconcetions they are spreading in the way they are showing Anandi and her growth.
Anandi gave up studies because of Dsa . It took a lot of insulting behaviour from her the then pati to resume her education . Yes even before she resumed her education she started small school for girls.
Her desire to carve a different identity for herself came only after Jagya brought Gauri home . That's when she converted her hobby as a mission in her life .
Her social work most of the time was shown as a substitute or something to make up for the loss that she suffered at that time . Her career only looked like a substitute for husband.
The moment she married Shiv again her professional life took a back seat.
Yes she always found ways to help others irrespective of the current state of life .
But the desire to make an identity for herself is not there . For that she always needed a kick in her guts .
The biggest misconception that the makers are spreading through Anandi's life is that a woman can only be a happy wife with a career as just a hobby or a sad wife with a successful professional life along with an identity of her own . This is what they are telling the viewers by bumping off Shiv.

The first time Anandi was trying to balance between Dsa's wishes and J's wishes, putting her own desires aside.
In order to keep Dsa's wishes, she lost J, and that's when instead of choosing to marry the second time straight away, she chose to study and make someone of herself - A very good positive message by makers

Then Shiv came in her life and she could have continued to grow further, but Anandi's career took a back seat. I don't mind if women choose to stay at home, or pursue career as hobby, although I would have wanted an iconic character like A to go out and face the world.
-----

Now, Shiv is being bumped off. Despite having all the opportunities, support and avenues for growth, Anandi hasn't grown. And she will find herself back to square one.

If this was a progressive show, Anandi would have come out strong already in Shiv's presence, such that in his absence she wouldn't be in square one. Going by yesterday's episode, I felt A will be very weak both emotionally and financially post Shiv.

I am not sure, if DB will be exposed by the time Shiv dies. If not, we are set for all sorts of conservative thoughts back in picture.

If this was a progressive show:

- Anandi would have grown. Everyone else did including Ganga and saanchi, (just Anandi didn't - not to her capacity)

-Characters like DB would not have been introduced, after tactfully dealing with characters like Ds. The story could have been focused on A's continuous achievements instead.

- Makers told us that divorcees and widows are not ill-fated, but they will end up going against their own theory by showing Shiv's death.

- According to makers women can either be good wives or professionals. They can't be both. (e.g. saanchi and Gauri) . Ganga works in her own hospital and Anandi runs a hobby. (Nothing outstanding to show their dignified capabilities)

-----

They may or may not bring Shiv from the dead. Speculations say that Vikram will die and Shiv will pop up eventually, however the track will have no message, except for Anandi crying buckets, and trying to start all over again.

During J's phase, Anandi started her life for the first time. Now how is it progressive, if she has to start all over again post Shiv? Shouldn't she already have a built up?

Plus it is also a very pathetic way to show women empowerment. Should a woman only rise when she is destined with something so cruel?

Why can't they show a woman already planning her for security well in advance and living a confident life just as part of her day-to-day. That in my opinion would be a good message on women empowerment.

Anandi's life took a new path after her remarriage. Now why they are trying to connect it to a different theme? If they wanted to show a woman overcoming all hurdles and being successful when she lost her partner they could have avoided remarriage story. I mean they could have chosen either this or that. They are trying to mix up everything which will be difficult for viewers to bear. Since remarriage was taken up first, they could have perfectly shown it till the end.

I'm not saying those who remarry will never become widows/widowers but viewers lose interest when there is something deeply disturbing.
