The whole idea is absurd. mom picks a girl for her son who is already married, brings the girl home. Makes the servant go away so she can get them to be closer. She offers for girl to marry her son without telling her about his previous marriage. Why would she not try to get help from her other son to get closer to her purpose?

Although it sounds bad if you see it from Arzoos angle, but I think they think that they are doing the right thing. Sahir's life has been destroyed by his previous marrIage. He is not the kind to look at other options till they are forced upon him.

Hard to say what level a mother can go to to save her child. As for Rehman I am sure he's has been a business associate of the family for long and his daughter is a good friend of Zaki's. They could easily be pursuaded to join the act to put pressure on Sahir.
