BOI:Salman Khan did more for Kick than what Aamir Khan did for P.K

Q. You have said that Salman Khan is star of the year but Kick was not that good acting by Salman Khan where as Aamir Khan has given award winning performance in P.K. so he should be top star of 2014?

Ans. Its not about award winning performances thats all subjective and about opinions. There will be 100 of award ceremonies and each will give according to their opinion. From a box office point of view Salman Khan did more for Kick than what Aamir Khan did for P.K.

Unfair how for actress..you are putting in her performance..length of role and box office but are totally neglecting how much she contributed but for actor you are only focusing on the contribution factor

2015..alia is a top star due to her movies but when highway was releasing or 2 states etc..she was relying on those movies to make her big..so technically she didn't contribute back then

So why not focus in same way for the actor?

Yeah its probably true Salman did more for Kick & SRK did more for HNY ( atleast the opening figures) mainly because their films have nothing apart from them..Kick was comparatively better though cos Salman-Jacky had good chemistry & the film had a good supporting cast 😆 On the other hand, Aamir mostly does films with good directors & they are critically acclaimed too so its never him alone when it comes to the BO results..Big deal..I want Salman/ SRK to work with Hirani at some point just so we can put an end to this debate & see how much those films actually make..Going by this logic, those films have to do 500 crores cos its the star power of Hirani + good script + Salman/ SRK combined 😆 But i know we'l never see that cos these ppl would rather work with Rohit/ Farah than a Hirani or Anurag 😆

b) PK is going to do about 350 crores, maybe even more at the BO. Thats a colossal 120 crores more than Kick.

c) Aamir Khan is the top most draw for PK. Hirani, had of-course found his audience after 3I and is a factor. Which will increase further after PK . But still he pales in comparision with Aamir. At best its 85-15.

d) Its not an industry that is run by directors, actors are the ones who dominate. Go in public and you will hear Aamir, Shahrukh, Salman, Ranbir ki picture lagi hai... Its always been like this.

e) When Shahrukh comes with Rohit, or Salman will with Sooraj and Kabir next year. Will that also be because of the directors??

f) Aamir has four ATTB's and All time grossers in the last seven years. The rest have none. Case closed.

h) As for working with top directors, there is a reason everyone goes to him. His amazing acting talent and pull at the box-office are those reasons. Who is stopping the other two from working with those??

i) Infact Raju is yet to give such a big hit or all time grosser without Aamir. His next will prove where he stands.

j) So this argument pretty much falls flat on its face. There is no way in hell Salman is a bigger star, actor or anything than Aamir for the year 2014.

Raju hirani used to give hits with finished actor like Sanjay Dutt . Both Munnabhai 1 and 2 were huge hits
