Dear CV's,

Don't get me wrong, I am writing this because I genuinely care about this show.

Personally I want to say that this show has really affected me, I started watching a daily soap after 10 years, so it means a lot to me.

And if you do see the topics on the forum, though you may see a mixed bag of emotions , its because we love the show so much. Many of us have tweeted the channel for repeats and promos.

We talk, debate and sometimes even fight over the fictional characters, they are close to our hearts, but of late I feel( and I am sure few others also) that slowly the show has started losing its essense, or atleast it appears that way.

These are what we think could be better

1) Continuity : Sometimes some scenes are so abrupt, sometimes whole episodes are. Like a few have already mentioned on the forum, its like 2 different writers writing without being aware of what the other has written.

2) Character consistency : Many of us started watching this show for the charachters, be it a strong female lead (for once) or the male lead with a dark past, or a carefree younger brother . We liked these people initially for what they were. Agreed that circumstances change people but not to this extent. Sometimes we cannot relate why a character is doing what he/she is doing. We do feel lost.

3) Pace : A few days the show is going super fast and then there is a lull. Nothing happens for a few days. For a few days we get too much SaAz (not complaining here) and then we hardly see them. It feels like some chapters of a book that fell off were pasted somewhere else. We would really love to see well paced show, not too fast and not too slow. And not only that some sequnces are dragged way too long. We have been waiting and waiting for the Zeenath flashback to understand why Sahir is this way, believe me , we have lost our patience. If you read other threads you will see that people are talking about quitting the show.

4) Balance : May be there is meant to be no humour track, but really its getting too dark. The way the ML hurts himself to show his pain, the way they mentioned Asharfi's blood was in the sample... they are getting a bit wierd.

I am sure others on the forum will add points to this thread.I agree that you know how a show is made better than I do. We know, you create and we watch , we may not have the right to ask for what we want to see, but please take this as our suggestions.

And most important of all they have built up sahir's pain so many times ... only to make him go back to live life as usual ... dragging it for too long is only resulting in killing the impact of his pain ... something that this story started with ... I mean how many times can u see him go through same cycle over and over again ... I am afraid that when they actually show his pain now no one would even relate to it!
Also suspense and confusion is good ... it keeps viewers on its toes ... but so much of confusion around a char that you stop understanding them even a little does not work ... if viewers can't feel for the characters it kills them for viewers ... one moment Sahir is shown about arzoo ... next about deal ... one moment he is shown to believe zaki another sumaira ... i mean if he worried so much about deal and video why would he tell rehman in the first place that he can't force zaki? Its' like you can never get what Sahir is upto and its' deliberate on part of CVs but its being counter productive!

Yes, the pain without revealing the cause creates a disconnect actually.

Good post Pearly. 👏

The fourth point indeed needs to be addressed. Wounds if not exposed to air tend to fester and infect. Thats what Sahir's wound has become now. It's time to air it out, cleanse it and let him heal. CVs are taking it to amputation levels. Hope they realize that amputation is quite different from healing.

Exactly! When the show started it was like Arzoos love would heal Sahirs wounds and bring him back to life as it should be lived!
But what's been happening is the polar opposite...there is no attempt to heal him..instead fresh wounds are inflicted by him on himself and others and he is more and more alone...and now there is a hint of redemption from his side...what about redemption for him?? I think if this continues...his guilt...self harm...loneliness...the contempt from everyone...there will come a time when we cannot believe he can ever be healed.

They should start telling us why Sahir behaves in a way or does thing s in a way...it's too much to analyse and it falls flat when it changes minute by minute..this isn't a detective show...it doesn't have to have so much intrigue surrounding his actions that we lose the connect!

Not only the scenes and directions, there are many details they need to take care of, for example in Sahir's self-talk scene and his scene in Arzoo's room, they forgot to put the spot lightings out of the screen, it more like a location video.
