today's epi and the scene between roka in the rain with robbie once again asking kasturi to come back to him was worth watching cos it shows how powerful and sacred a mangalsutra could be for a married woman...

yeah someone bumping with kasturi and she falls in robbie's arms and for a split of a second got lost in his eyes but moving away from him , her mangalsutra getting stuck in robbie's shirt reminds her of her marriage vows taken with raunak and her marital status..

the scene that is worth watching , when she stopped robbie from taking it out from his shirt pocket...she did not want him to touch it cos that right its only for raunak and for her its so sacred and no other man shall touch it..the mantra said it all her duty as a wife and how sacred and powerful this mangalsutra is for a married woman and also to not cross her limits and that she is committed to someone else...

i think by now robbie should get the message whether he likes it or not kasturi is raunak's wife and he should respect her marital status..

another good reason for robbie to show some respect to a relationship whether its not a love marriage but the sindoor and mangalsutra are there to remind him that kasturi is not his love but raunak's wife..

well thats the power of mangalsutra and it is said that for a married woman it is considered as the most prestigious token of love offered to her by her husband during the ceremony and its really sacred for her...

i think kasturi did the right thing by taking it out herself and that she will not break this marriage how much robbie reminds her of their love but will save it at any cost..

so wat do think guys kasturi did the right thing or not?...

Very true... "Husband - wife relationship" is d topmost relation in any kind of relationship.... once again its remind me..."d saat phare" concepts...both Raka knows dht dhy r not in luv.. but dhr is "one rishta.. A marriage - joint decision" taken by dhm.. makes dhm so closer sooner or later...!!!!!!!!! 😛

"marriage covert in to luv but its not necessary luv convert in to marriage..." 😳

so now ekta makes clearily indecation dht..dhis is d real rival show of zee's no.1 show "saat phare"

d only one thing I don't like & dht is every time whn robz blames ronak 4 braking dhr relationship.. k's is totelly silient.. 😕 she is d one who knows everything dht why ronak takes dhis step...@least she has to told Robz dht "hey..don't blame my husband in it..He is not responsable @ all 4 our braking..."

Anyway... I m just waiting.. whn cupid strike bwtn Raka.. once dht happends.. no one can brake dhm.. dht's 4 sure.. becuz dhis is d only reason always robz comes to k's...

u are absolutely right about the power and meaning mangalsutara. even though the sanctity of marriage is the love ,sacrifice ,compromises and trust but mangalsutra , sindoor hold its own importance in the indian married woman"s life. it becomes more powerful when a woman keeps its importance and power .
very informative and meaningful post . 😊

agree with you nightangel the relationship of husband /wife is one of the topmost relation in any relationship..the saat phere , the sindoor and the mangalsutra make it more concrete this sacred bond that tie the bride and the groom...the vows one i will be by my husband side in any circunmstances and till death do us apart.. kasturi was right at that moment to keep robbie's hand away from her mangalsutra as no third person is allowed in this sacred bond of husband /wife be it a compromise or arrange marriage..i believe an arrange marriage can turn into love and esp if you get the right and understanding person..raunak is best placed here...

kutcher agree with you too sindoor/mangalsutra has its own importance along with the other fundamental things in a marriage esp for indian women..

you are right it becomes more powerful when a woman keeps its importance and value...

yesterday i completely agree with kasturi and that was like a tight slap for robbie who is not giving respect to her as a married woman and to show him the importance of her mangalsutra...

3 angels,

Loved the title. Which mangalsutra are you talking about??
Oh got it!!!! You are probably talking about the POWER of a mangalsutra worn by a soap serial heroine, right?? 😉
A heroine who usually gets engaged a dozen times before she decides whom to marry. And then marries the wrong guy, but keeps pining away for the one she gave the miss. After a while realizes that she made a mistake and the sentiment for the mangalsutra goes for a toss.
Then, repeat steps 1 to 7 of marriage
1) Shagun
2) Mangalsutra scene
3) maang mein sindoor
4) phere
5) bidaai
6) The 'finding the ring' game
7) carrying the bride upstairs drama

Keep repeating this, till there is nothing left in the viewers or shall I say no more viewers left 😉???

Then a time-leap, the heroine has become a grandma, but still keeping her eyes open for love and does not have any problems in riding the 'marriage bus' once again but this time only to save a child or grandchild from some unfathomable fate.

That's right the mangalsutra is very powerful these days!!!! 😆

well my topic was based esp on the mangalsutra scene and also generally..about its importance in a married woman life and this scene was the perfect example...

i still say it has its importance in a married woman life and its powerful...im not married but i like to read a lot and thats how i got to know about it and not only now in this modern age but its importance begins very very early esp for indian women...

for me personaly i will always value its importance and be it reel or real life it has its importance..

i have put my pov and you have put yours and it seems its a joke the power of mangalsutra so i respect it... 😊

Yes, it was a joke.
But please don't misunderstand, its not a joke on your post. Not at all!!! It s joke on the current situation in this serial and in so many other serials.

I am married and I have always held the utmost respect for the institution of marriage and the Indian wedding system in particular. Getting married in front of fire with mantras being chanted from Vedas. Its a experience that will change your life.

And so what they are showing me is causing such pain that I am trying to drown it in humour!!!

I agree with the essence of your post. But I think the major mistake each one of us does is, we apply our logic and our principles to the characters in the serial.

For eg: You or me or somebody else will support Kasturi at this point. We will agree with what she is doing and then this same Kasturi in a few weeks will run to Robbie because the creatives decided it. And the creatives decided it because of falling TRPs, or to give it a fresh look or because Raunak does not have dates for this serial.
And we all end up looking foolish.

That is why these days I am wary of applying my personal views to the characters and try to relax with humour!!!

I feel if the director shared the same viewpoint as us about marriage, he/she would not have made a joke out of this grand institution!!! 😡

i understand your pov pragalbha.. 😊

i think you are rite we apply our logic to the characters ..well as far as i have analysed the serial its not only a love story but also about relationship, trust and understanding which revolve around the main characters and the juniour ones too..be it the sabharwal, singhania or the chawla's families...

yeah agree with you , i too for once would like to see something different..kasturi is marrried so how she work out this relationship and make it a success though robbie was her first love will be very plausible..but as you said its too much to ask the creative cos wat you have said its bound to happen kas wil go back to robbie and raunak is turned either negative or die or sacrifice his love just to reunite them..next kasturi/robbie relationship is back to square at some point , some mistrust and misunderstanding and here goes kasturi back to raunak..

well i'm still thinking positive that we get to see something diferent but the chance is less i know also..

i think pragalbha we must keep logic away and enjoy the show just for entertainment.. 😊
